Hi Topinvest, no that is Stuart H, see the top bit of the RNS, he holds 6.5% and 1,333, 333 shares. I have currently only 1,111,111 and will stick to this and take div’s until end of 2023 and then decide where next or to long term hold for bank licence and maybe even a 3 bagger takeover, when someone like HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds or AXA, AON or Hastings , Aviva see Orchard for the jewels and growth potential underlying it!!! Definitely well run and a steady Eddy growth!

It seems that ORCH marches to the beat of its own drum :-) Not much interest on results days and just the one published trade!

Yes, very good results. Full year EPS should be upgraded to maybe 7.5-8p from 5.8p? I can't quite convince myself to buy any more, but possibly a very good entry point for new investors.

Yes very happy to wait. It’s a very steady ship sailing with an experienced captain who will appreciate the share price in time.

Nice results, which confirm that things are improving. The only thing that doesn't reflect it is the share price.

97peter - I presume that is your holding RNS today then. A big position. Be interesting to see if Harwood also get more involved.

I agree that they are undervalued. I'm personally not buying any more as I'm underwater and try and maintain the discipline of not averaging down on my losers. For those buying down here its probably very good value.

Dipped a couple of toes in the ORCH waters this afternoon. Trade not showing yet. Fingers crossed for some positive stuff tomorrow to counteract current market woes and volatility.

Good fortune all

IMHO there may well be an increase in the dividend tomorrow as a demonstration of their confidence in the future. Broker estimates are currently 5.78p for 2022 and 6.19p for 2023 against historic eps of 3.42p. As I stated in a previous post the shares are worth 118p a share, more than twice the current share price, using a zero growth dividend discount, capitalisation of income method of valuation model so IMHO there is a huge and substantial margin of safety at the current price so clearly there is enormous potential for a large rise in the share price from current levels.

AIMHO, DYOR as I have done mine

I’m adding a few here and there but not sure I’ll be getting to your levels any time soon 97peter (i.e. ever)! That is some holding. Certainly of interest though.

Can’t surely be any worse than Lloyds, which is the only other financial I hold, where the share price struggles to get anywhere (although have managed to get back into profit on it this year).

GBcol and Topinvest the banking licence will give ORCH better rates and access to more funds and larger clients, more profits and growth. Open banking and LendXP, will give them an advantage and a SaaS revenue stream.

Topped up today with 11,111 shares to take me to 1,111,111 shares and will now stick and hold and assist ORCh gain there proper place in the market and get to 75p a share. The 1p divi in June to be announced soon, plus banking licence and other irons in the fire will help explode this ‘rock’ of a company and share. Checkout their LendXP and Trustloop products and their Open banking credentials. !!!!

PS- I am a little biased with a 5% holding, but here for the long term! I can’t believe how cheap they are and how rock steady!!

Yes, agreed but applying for a banking licence is very expensive and time consuming. They seem to have failed on this after spending a few years on it. Maybe the bond issue is the next best option for now.

Topinvest - The need for the banking licence is to reduce the interest and overheads and also to be bigger and meet more demands for their service and software! Plus it will mean larger profits and divi. This is a hidden gem, I am steady and have kept my holding at 5% with just over a million shares. S o heavily invested but a great company!

Dipped my toe in with my first small purchase here at 55p. Will undoubtedly add a few more over coming weeks. Looks an interesting offering and gives me a bit of portfolio diversity.

Do they need the banking licence now that they have got the bond issues commenced? They may have decided it isn't worth the effort given they spent a lot of time and money not getting it done a few years back.

Hi gbcol,
Yes I took £10,000 of bonds and there will be more bond issues in 2023 and 2024. Plus with the future looking rosy, for things like banking licence and also offering some of its s/w as SAAS to the credit and insurance industries, things are on the up.
Drastically cheep share price with an annual 3p divi for a 60p share!!!!
Get in while you can at 54 and 56p to buy!!

Nice to see this starting to turn the corner at long last. Its been a disappointing investment for me so far, but there's not been a permanent dimunition in the original value, so could well bounce back in time if growth continues.

Sounds positive, I’m not invested here yet but been watching and may well take the plunge when funds available.

I did however buy a chunk of their bonds recently. 6.25% interest was attractive to me. Anyone else buy them? I was hoping they would do more of them in coming months/years as I didn’t want to go in too heavy straight away.
