Posted at 10/12/2024 17:10 by davidosh Eps is still 7,39p and the company could easily pay a 3p dividend.By not paying it the company is less attractive to new investors and the share price remains down in the doldrums so that Ravi can pay as low a price as possible in any tender if there is one. We should be receiving a fair offer close to the NAV or our investment in the company to help it grow is being stolen from us. I will also be at the AGM to ask ALL the board a lot of questions. |
Posted at 03/11/2024 16:36 by davidosh Peter....You are being incredibly rude when you should realise that playful was actually one of the largest investors in Orchard and has probably lost the best part of half a million investing in this company. He therefore bought the right to say what he wants on here. When are the results out let alone a date for the AGM which has been in Christmas week before now.....totally shareholder unfriendly ! |
Posted at 06/8/2024 21:18 by davidosh The heading to the RNS was 'Trading Update' but there was only the three and a half week OLD news about a major client going into administration. The heading should more accurately have been 'Loss of major client'No financial information about how the company is performing overall and we passed the year end last Thursday so this was not communicated correctly and even worse investors who have been buying shares in the last three weeks plus did so whilst the board at Orchard were fully aware that a major client had gone bust but failed to RNS until today. |
Posted at 11/7/2024 14:19 by davidosh I cannot speak for Stuart but I know his RNS said he now holds below 3%There were new investors who picked them up and certainly some 2% holders on here I think. At least an EGM would gain communication and an understanding from ALL the board attending to let us shareholders know what is going on and likely future here. |
Posted at 10/7/2024 11:04 by unglove Hi 97Peter, the company is doing better than expected (as you mention) as per recent RNS. Therefore, come December report the share price might increase. My reason for suggesting buyout in Autumn is that share price is in doldrums and they can probably buyout for less. I think many PIs as well as institutional investors buy and sell in 10000-20000 aliquots. I do. Liquidity is minimal currently with tiny volumes in terms of monetary value.Reasons for buyout not to go ahead would be major re-rating of share price or loss of support of institutional investors and this seems unlikely. If the buyout did not go ahead then I would expect a much higher dividend to try and obtain new investors.Your predictions were very precise and would be interested in your reasoning. |
Posted at 26/5/2024 18:59 by davidosh I have not sold any shares so certainly not lost anything yet. There is always the opportunity cost and the fact that my money would have been better invested elsewhere and of course I have little hope of getting my full investment back from here.My concern is for other investors who may have bought when 97peter was singing from the rooftops about how good an investment Orchard was...whilst unbeknown to us he was selling into the market strength. |
Posted at 26/5/2024 14:25 by kabrams Yet again I feel the need to post here as what I’m reading from certain posters is nothing short of scandalous. You would be nothing short of foolish if you believe what has been posted on this BB. At every turn what has been said is wrong and cost investors like David has said an arm and a leg. Shameless and disgusting! |
Posted at 25/5/2024 23:17 by davidosh 97peter...I think your statement that I should sell up is incredibly rude and you are from another investing planet if you think long term holders are known as MM's by individual investors. As frequent participant within the stock market I am sure most other investors will think an MM is a market maker who sets the stock prices for you to trade....that is why I asked. The fact you suggest other shareholders are too small and should sell up and go is just plain rude as all shareholders are entitled to comment on here and no matter how many shares I have it is important to try to gain a return on my investment and not lose money. If anything your postings on this board may have encouraged others to lose money in the past so I am far more likely to ignore your suggestions anyway. For the record I have a holding significantly greater than 10,000 shares but do not make a song and dance about the size of my holding in any company. If you really do have 400,000 shares then I doubt this will have been a successful investment for you as many will have been purchased above 29p and you cannot sell that many for more than 25p if you try. There are shareholders here that have lost hundreds of thousands so I suggest you stay humble and consider others when you post. |

Posted at 25/1/2024 14:25 by davidosh ORCH is now yielding almost 10% so what is allowing this to fall rather than investors buying up the stock?I will throw in the negatives and see if any of you want to add to them and then lets list the positives. BEAR points. 1. Large dominant family/founder holding so now it is very small in market cap the options are limited. Fear of a delisting maybe? 2. Communication and investor relations have been lacking. No presentations in 2023 3. No research notes out there. 4. Forecasts suggest fall in revenues and profits 5. Investors fear recession and possible headaches for banks and finance providers. 6. The largest external shareholder has been selling. Is there more to come? 7. Investors writing here and shareholders appear frustrated. Any more? I intend to ask Ravi to provide his answers to these |
