28/6/2019 11:10 | Rock Star - there are plenty of posters on here who appear to be better informed than me, but I'll give you my opinion. The company appears to be well run, has products with scientific backing and has done many deals. However, Opti's trading partners take time to turn deals into sales. And as yet there has not been much visibility of revenue in annual reports. Some RNSs have shifted the price up and as you can see from last year, there was a good run up in the share price to c. 125p. This was then sold into and share price has drifted back. Last H2 showed a big % uplift in earnings but I get the impression that this year's H1 will not be so exciting (though will be up on H2 last year). This is in part due to irregularity of payments and it is expected that by this year end, Opti will be close to being in profit. Thereafter, as revenue comes in from more deals, things might grow a bit more steadily. So, in a few words: expectations have got ahead of themselves and institutional investors want to see evidence in financials before getting involved. The company's broker is not thought to have done a good job and the last RNS gives news of a new (additional) broker to remedy. I'm sure posters will correct any mistakes I have made. Cheers MU. | m4rtinu
28/6/2019 11:05 | Rick star Opti got the market with a boom due to management and the science. If you look at the hart it gets range bound and then jumps again. It’s beentrough the science and regulatory phases and is now commercialising and as mentioned above revenues are expected to grow exponentially over the coming years. There are dozens of deals signed and product development and sales at varying stages. There are also more deals to come and other strains so the product pipeline and deal pipeline is only going one way now. We haven’t even started commercialising the sweet fibre sugar replacement due to multiple discussions. That could be the biggie. But then you have a US pharma taking lpldl through pharma trials phase 3. It’s a billion pound company in the making as overheads are pretty fixed. The price has been stuck despite the actual progress of the business due to a small shareholder base and limited exposure. That’s why the appointment of goetz as a pan European research bank was for me the following back piece of the jigsaw. Hope that helps. Shrewdie | shrewdmole
