Well what can I say. I am not sure I really learnt anything new. The format was the formal business followed by a lengthy question session, with no presentation. About 12 shareholders turned up and I think the company were a bit surprised by the numbers! The whole board were present because they had been having a strategy meeting.

I asked a number of questions in particular about the format of the US Pharma LPLDL trial. SOH couldn't say a lot because of confidentiality but said they did have a plan to differentiate it as a drug from the OTC product. Sounds like it is a straight double blind placebo controlled trial; a non inferiority trial vs a statin would have been interesting! He emphasised the milestone payments and I am pretty sure from what he said there will be one when the trial starts.

Also I asked about Sweetbiotix and it certainly sounds likes there is an awful lot happening but again he couldn't talk specifics. He used as an example a mars bar when talking about sugar replacement so read into that what you want! Oh and they had some slimbiome gummies for us to try. They really were very moreish and I had quite a few so it will be interesting to see if I want my supper this evening!

Overall the team exuded confidence and I am as confident as ever that we are all onto a winner here. One more thing the FD said the results would be out end of July/beginning of August.

Can't quite figure why I (and many others it seems) harbour notions that an imminent RNS can somehow propel share price Northwards; the last 40, if anything, sent it Southwards! Something else needed here, as some are saying.

In the absence of an AGM trading update ( yet ) I hope someone asks about first half revenue & expectations for the year ( which I appreciate wont be responded to without an RNS as it would be market sensitive information).
Hopefully an attendee will keep us informed,later
