Mickeymouse - How does Opti become LESS valuable?

I agree 10-15£m. The key thing is not to overvalue the stock at listing as it will go nowhere.I'm pretty sure soh said if the correct steps were taken over time the ip could be worth £250m. No way that's done in a year. Can see skin being worth £40-50m within a year based on potential and successful human studies.

As I've said so many times before, it's a fund raise by any other name. Clearly they need the cash urgently otherwise the sensible thing would be to wait until at least one division was profitable.

"The planned Admission of SkinBioTherapeutics brings in non dilutive funding"

It's a bit misleading to suggest that it brings in non dilutive funding since OptiBiotix becomes less valuable post the demerger (share price may fall) and you've no idea how the new listing of SkinBioTherapeutics will be received by the market.

Imo it's all just financial engineering to raise funds.

Smoke and mirrors but good luck if you're a holder.

18 patents... The Company, based in the UK, has acquired and subsequently further developed technology and intellectual property comprising 18 patent applications founded on scientific evidence and proof of principle studies. The studies indicate that certain molecules found in the human microbiota can be used to protect, manage and restore the skin.

The skin guys have been beavering away in the background for a while now.

I'm sure they will have some significant progress to announce alongside the IPO.

(or maybe announce soon after float to give a good start to trading)

possibly more if the II is a household name. They will want money for Clinical trials so minimum they would want to raise is £10m IMO

Don't forget our other divisions, they might split as well at a later date, I am surprised we have not announced a new patent, but I suppose this things take there time! DIAMOND.

Today's news has come sooner than some of us thought. I wonder if this indicates that treatments etc are closer to production than we are aware of?

Capitalisation value will be very interesting. I recall SoH saying a year ago skin could be worth £250m in a years time. Not that I expect it to float at anywhere near that level but excited to see where it is valued at.

Jeremy Vine show talking about eczema today. Massive unmet market right there for SkinBiotix on that treatment alone.

I'm, fortunately, holding a skinful of OPTI shares. Even if not 100% 1:1 (for whatever reason) in the spin-off, a large chunk will do very nicely. Yes the choice of expression (in earlier announcement by SOH) "may" hold shares, seems ill-chosen.

Will be very interesting to see what price the shares are valued at. 10p, 20p etc. What will the market cap be at IPO etc....do we expect opti to fall by the same amount and so on. Many questions to be answered in the coming days.....

Sounds good. At least with this company the management tell you what the aims are and then deliver.

'The planned Admission of SkinBioTherapeutics brings in non dilutive funding and creates the opportunity to drive the development and commercialisation of its SkinBiotix(R) technology platform to address large scale global markets in skin health including Cosmetic Skin Care ($121bn); Health Care Acquired Infections ($82bn); and Eczema ($3.8bn)'.

I like the non dilutive funding bit - and the huge market - just look at those figures!
