The government want 2 million tests a day. 14 million a week. Three companies are to manufacture the UK tests. Almost 5 million a week per company?Could the loan of government equipment be so large as to increase ODX's capacity to that figure?We may be in for some nice surprises.

Fredd1boy Its more than a bit of a cheek but actually at a projected rate of in excess of 15 million a day now to be revised up to nearer 20-25 million tests a day its nowhere near enough to supply the UK need throughout 2021 ( 2022 ). I am surprised that inferior quality tests are being used in preference to UK providers but then we have been late to the party where as surprise surprise The Chinese were waiting with masses of masks and tests... it makes you think!!! As a further aside I am surprised that someone hasnt asked Government to hold back some of the monies required to pay for the tests in payment of monies owed to UK shareholders by the Fujian companies that relocated back to China leaving UK shareholders high and dry and includes the likes of JQW Plc. There should be a wonderful opportunity to trade off and reward shareholders who have been cheated out of their money.

WHAT is for certain however the Government has indicated that 3 companies including ODX will benefit from ( contracted with ) all the production they can supply commencing very shortly. What this means for ODX in terms of revenue I will let others postulate as the numbers in the contracts to supply have not yet been detailed...but the biggest indicator of all are the scale ups at Omega and Global both in head count and production capacity. I am sure that most of the LTH's on this thread will be more than happy with a significantly higher share price once we start hitting maximum production figures of 2.5 million a week later this month.

On 08.02.2021 Omega diagnostics shares jumped after the group was reported to be one of three companies selected by the government to make sure the UK is prepared for future outbreaks of infectious disease.
The Department of Health has chosen Omega along with SureScreen and Global Access Diagnostics to produce up to 2m testing kits a day, the Financial Times reported. The lateral flow devices allow diagnosis within 30 minutes. The SureScreen tests have already been validated by PHE in the lab and are now in their final stage of validation in clinical trials. They also have been proven to detect the B117 “Kent variant” of Covid-19, and are already CE-marked and MHRA-approved.
As a result of the FT-article Omega shares surged 21.3% to 84.3p. The company confirmed it is continuing to modify its Alva-based facility to upscale significantly its lateral flow test production capacity. Omega also mentioned that if contracts or supply agreements were signed to utilise this capacity the company would announce this in line with AIM disclosure obligations.

On Friday 05.03 SureScreen was awarded 6 million GBP by procurement for the manufacture of lateral flow antigen tests for Sars-Covid-2, with an option to purchase further tests. On the same day Global Access Diagnostics was awarded 3,160 million GBP for manufacture of lateral flow antigen tests for Sars-Covid-2. There is now little doubt left that Omega Diagnostics will benefit from this, and we probably can expect more good and ‘official̵7; news in the next weeks to come.

barrywhit Definitely News next week! Interesting to see that the Government have extended free LFTs to all businesses now not just over 50 employees...End of March at the latest is when it all unfolds and we will be able to see just how big ODX is going to be and what place they will have in the market. All good and the way the share price has been behaving seems to demonstrate that we could be in for some new highs very shortly. GLA LTH's at least it will have been more than worth the wait. Have a good w/e ant.

I really wouldn't worry about what they say on LSE, most don't even know what Omega Manufacture they are small time traders with their own agenda, LSE is Full of rampers that talk the company up then sell out and then deramp...most will be back at school on Monday.....

Not sure it would be classed as a Reverse Takeover, they may be asked to temporarily suspend share dealing until the contract is finalised but not even sure they would be asked to suspend shares....
