19/8/2003 15:21 | Increase the market makers and the spreads should follow. | shoggoth
19/8/2003 14:44 | Spreads on OFEX are often less that spreads when companies move to AIM, however OFEX definitely needs more that one market maker. | big black dog

19/8/2003 14:26 | Interims released today show that volumes are down. Maybe it has something to do with the huge spreads (sometimes 20% or more) that JPJ insist on imposing. With only one market maker it doesn't give an incentive for investing. Maybe shareholders should be able to put some pressure on OFEX to do what they can to stimulate the market, and the place to start is the spreads. If spreads are not reduced then investors will not want to invest in the very companies that OFEX relies on for its revenues, a double whammy for OFEX. Regards | shoggoth
13/7/2003 20:51 | 5p, how long do uthink it will take to get to 5p or less simon? | kouneli stifado
13/7/2003 20:44 | I would like to see this company taken-over by a more professional outfit. Maybe even the LSE may be interested or a small cap broker? What do people think - no point buying now though - might as well wait until 5p or so. Ofex could be a cracking market, if only it was run more professionally. | simonevans

20/6/2003 13:11 | It depends if you are selling into a blue market or a red one. Selling into a blue rise is very easy & you beat the spread. Selling into a red fall....you will probably only get quoted bid price. If you build up large stakes that's a different matter, as it is on ANY market. These are small caps not FOOTSIE stocks | outsider
20/6/2003 08:08 | In my experience Ofex stock are very difficult to deal in when buying and doubly so when selling. | argy2
20/6/2003 07:28 | After many spreads were narrowed yesterday, more of the same this morning before the 8.00am open | outsider
12/5/2003 00:16 | simonevans - 10 May'03 - 08:49 - 45 In addition there are current NO new issues on OFEX listed on their web-site. I cannot remember the position ever being that bad for Ofex. Check Monday! | ofex punter

10/5/2003 11:17 | If you have not done so already, read two threads on Unquoted. First one, indicates a rival to Ofex (535X) Second one, informative. | ofex punter
10/5/2003 08:49 | Ofex has great potential imo. but needs to be taken out by a more professional team. It must be rather concerning to ofex that despite a number of companies going private / moving to AIM no companies have moved to Ofex. In addition there are current NO new issues on OFEX listed on their web-site. I cannot remember the position ever being that bad for Ofex. Furthermore, some of the Ofex advisors such as Daniel Stewart seem to have given up on trying to list companies raising new money on ofex. It's all a confidence thing if you ask me. If companies believed that ofex had a future then I am sure that many would be lining up to join this market which has major cost advantages over AIM and a full listing. I would not be surprised to see a major investor step in, once it is clear that the current management team have failed, and fail they will imo. | simonevans
09/5/2003 14:39 | Has anyone bought shares in OFEX (symbol OFX) themselves ? (the ones that are now listed on AIM) If so what are your views on these shares performing well ? | bmearns
