What is the epic for Ofex?

Didnt get much money, take out expenses, etc and it could be bust by xmas imho.

In my view ofex is a great idea, but need a more professional outfit running it. I received the prospectus - seems to have no future unless there is a step change in its business strategy. More companies leave ofex every day and so this cannot be good for business. It would be great if the LSE started such a market and after the EU prospectus obligations I guess this might be a possibility, but they could easily start their own market or Ofex when it is close to insolvency for a lower price.

Well they are doing a public offer, so obviously institutions didnt like it

Cant see what their business model is in this market

Terry Smith of Collins Stewart says worst market for 30 years, imho enough to send Ofex to its untimely end possibly.

Im afraid kermit does know me since the legends agm. and I have made quite a bit on CER - in at 10.5 out at 15. Still holding warrants. Did similar on oxus. Have done OK on IMG in at 24p. Im averaging 10p on CMR (still hoping and 6p on HEV - exploration punt) Legends has gone from 8p to 15p and is by far my largest holding ( at least four times as big as those mentioned previously. I dont claim to get it right even 70% of the time.

Kermit thanks for the defense but Ashleys criticisms dont bother me in the slightest - each to their own

What I have seen is that in rallies the FTSE large caps rally first, then medium caps etc.

AIM has been mullered as of late, in fact I think as I write around 75% below March 2000 highs never mind OFEX.

In a bear market I do not want illiquid stocks because in a market meltdown I can not sell them.

Sorry my excessive rudeness was deliberate to make a point.

Good luck long in this dreadful market, personally see a glimmer of hope as volumes start increasing October 202 to March 2003.

The markets as you say are awful for anyone being Long but that changes with time maybe not now, But as i sad Greed slips back into the equation at some point. and then even i will be buying Minmet!

Ofex will be back (Not that i am a great fan anyway and i cannot believe i am writing this), But it will take time.

What a load of codswallop. So not my last post & just to get some balance.

FACT I have no shares in Unquoted, UQ Mag; Insensia or Ofex.

FACT Weetabix (or wheatabix for you AJ) have no intentions of moving to AIM

FACT Offexchange were not forced to change their name by JPJ, but decided to as not to clash with Growth Company Investor newsletter, called something similar.


Anymore inaccurate accusations you HE Went or Ashley James want to spout?......seems your quite good at at things Wrong.

I am very close to Legends and I don't think they are considering a move to Aim...
They are being stalked by the likes of JD Sports that are opening a better path for them in a partnership.....

offexchance just changed their name into unquoted to reflect other markets such as the one offered by the share centre.
