I mean, given the question, how do you think they would respond?"why yes, we are deliberately undermining the ordinary shareholder".

zcaprd7 - why not ask questions? You make people aware. Why not. And do not get distracted by bullies. Who do not reasonably answer but attack instead. Same number of words would give fair answer. There is probably a reason for ridicule instead of an answer. .

Yes, but I thought someone might know on here. I've doubled my money on these and sold out about a year ago.I was thinking about buying back in, but the opaque nature of the new set up still concerns me. I don't think investors should have to email companies to find out things, and I don't see why their mates in the far East should have more information than the market?I'd wager that those loans will get converted to argento equity at some point in the future... On the cheap of course.

Have you thought of putting these questions to the company? Or would you rather use inflammatory phrases like “Syphoned off” in an attempt to show some kind of wrongdoing?

Why does obtala only get 1% of the new venture? Is all the good stuff getting syphoned off into argento?

Years of foundations have been laid, record revenues now being seen, exponential growth to come.

This share will rise strongly.

Simples.

This chart shows that quite a few chumps got mugged in the last few weeks.

beeks - I bought at 11, 7p and sold at around 17 -19p. not bad.
as assets are good I am waiting to buy in again.

using adverbs that you use puts you at your level.

using adverbs used "against" people discussing a share instead of factual and specific on topic OBT data puts you at your level.

good for you.

you can tell your surrounding level to move. it looks you are used to it. is it your dog or cat?

you could be aware that you can not tell all people to move.

be good beeks

Keep going chaps, or get a life. This is the new Glencore of Africa, like it or not.

I assume not, given your tone.

You two bozos have been calling this down for years. And iirc missed most of the rise last year.

Maybe it’s time to move on? I did when I was unhappy with OBT last year. Re-evaluated and came back. That’s the grown up approach to investing.

bayetya - Yes, and as the 'investors' (their word curiously rather than lenders) they would be the beneficiaries of any penalties.

they have an economic incentive to do so and grab the assets. and they have moral and legal obligation not to do it. which one ?

The loan was stumped up by the directors so not likely they'll default on their own money...

'An initial $1m has been funded in the form of a 10-year loan to Obtala (Hong Kong) Limited. The loan bears interest at 11.5% per annum payable annually in arrears.'

Can anyone give an idea (or has anyone here considered) what the default penalties might be?

PJ1 - Of course they knew that. - it is part of the corporate plan, and has been no secret to investors.

Miles and co must be wondering what the current benefits of maintaining a UK listing are. They aren’t interested in raising cash and the listing has plenty of unwanted baggage. As Miles said, it is a fundamentally different company from when he first joined.

My guess is we will see the HK listing and this one will eventually be delisted. Personally can’t wait for that to happen.

Meanwhile, Superg the guru wins the prize plonker of the year award, mere days in to 2018!
