11/10/2019 13:26 | Very surprised that this has been left behind in today's Brexit/banking rally | f15jcm
03/10/2019 11:22 | Why Panmure? | speedsgh
03/10/2019 11:11 | Post disastrous figures Panmure and Numis to merge? | daymer58
27/9/2019 14:24 | Great post. This is my 'top pick' Brexit recovery stock. Despite the grotty market conditions the company has a strong balance sheet as today's trading statement highlights. Just about timing the entry right... | f15jcm
14/6/2019 10:54 | The market is clearly in a down-cycle for small-cap advisory/flotation/m This has caused many UK SME's to put capital raisings and other m&a type initiatives on hold which had had a knock-on effect for volumes of business for brokers like Numis and Cenkos. However, the pent-up demand from SME's must clearly be reaching very high, if not unsustainable levels by now. The time will come when the flood-gates re-open as the UK economy and employment levels continue in the main to be very buoyant, if the ongoing and remarkable strength of the UK venture capital and crowd-funding scene is anything to judge by. An astonishing article in today's FT depicts that equity investment in UK small businesses by foreign investors in 2018 hit record levels. This is at odds with and counter-intuitive at a time when there is seemingly so much coverage in the media as to how small businesses in the Uk are suffering in the wake of Brexit and putting plans on hold. However, according to The FT: " A record £6.7bn in equity investment went to small businesses in 2018 as foreign investors continued to make lon-term bets on British companies" The British Business Bank, the regional venture capital firms, the Government's £2.6bn extra funding for banks, the British Patient Capital fund all attest to the robust health of the small business sector. When the markets cease to be so jittery, it looks to me that business volumes for the likes of Numis are likely to balloon rapidly. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
23/5/2019 07:21 | The important Mucklow/LondonMetric Recommended Offer announced today will be a big earner for Numis. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
03/5/2019 00:08 | T o s s e r alert! | simonh88
25/4/2019 10:53 | Don't know who has been buying back more of their own shares whether for Treasury or Employess Benefit , Numis or Cenkos. Something going on? ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
29/3/2019 15:34 | Hmmmm ….. Could that be Numis bidding 250p for its own shares? There are sellers at 251p but someone is supporting the buy side at 250p. Am I witnessing a divergence between legality and morality? The next buyback rns may clarify this. | ed 123
20/2/2019 14:31 | Bowling up I think, I'm back in. Only a few weeks to increased, or complete, certainty on Brexit. As they said in the trading update, the uncertainty is a large part of why revenue and smallcap markets have been weak. | m4ybe
05/2/2019 08:09 | Already heavily sold off and update probably much as expected. Waiting for the good times to come again. | its the oxman
05/2/2019 07:11 | 10x PE for a broking business is probably about right. | rock star
21/12/2018 07:40 | Somebody likes it? Always struggle with those holding RNSs lol , but is that a 3.4% take up?I don't hold but have been watching.DbD | death by donut
20/12/2018 11:54 | These recent moves have now wiped out two years of share price growth. We're at support levels from beginning of 2017, so this may provide some relief - but all depends on the rest of the market. The awful takeup on the Kier rights issue have hurt NUM today. I don't see any turnaround until the next set of results. I was prepared to ride this out, I saw Cenkos put out a positive but very short RNS late yesterday so was hoping for some read across. But when I saw the Kier news this morning, I sold out at the open. | monions01
20/12/2018 11:36 | Smashed every day? Thoughts? | insideryou
06/12/2018 18:22 | Results gone unnoticed......not bad. Increased income, cash and NAV, slightly lower profits. Divi maintained. | deadly
26/10/2018 13:51 | Years low. No buyers | insideryou
28/9/2018 12:28 | The problem is (well apart from the profits warning) is that there is no level given to the amount of the Profit decline. Significant, slightly, material etc would have all helped. | hatfullofsky
28/9/2018 08:46 | Yes I was fortunate to have sold most of mine recently. I had considered that the price would track sideways for a bit and had intention to buy back at lower average later. My thoughts here were that the update wasn't so bad, but I will retain a watching brief on the price I think before making any purchase decisions. | thorpematt
28/9/2018 08:35 | Sold half my holding back at c.420p. Added a few today and happy to hold given the strong pipeline and prospects. Numis is still becoming a bigger and hopefully more profitable business. | its the oxman
28/9/2018 07:33 | Slightly disappointing update. The CEOs are expanding the business for the long term. For the sector, the PE is low. Buy for the long term. | tresham
27/9/2018 11:55 | £80m net cash, Low market cap, I see support around 350p and any dip below that price will be a low risk long, in my opinion. | tradingsun1 |
