Seems to have fallen slowly over the last few weeks on relatively low volumes. Looking for some support around 250.

Some right chunky sells going through, dragging the share price down

AGM statement bit mixed but seems to read well enough. Trying not to over promise perhaps. But no reason to think the decent pipeline of business they see will not come good and see another year of progress.

Thanks gbenson. Just read an article about it. I wonder how many shares he wants to sell? It said he had 7 million shares as of 20th Jan.

Could be part of Oliver Helmsleys 5.8m sale?

What's with all the big sells? It doesn't seem to be slowing the share price down though!

Still struggling to break up toward 300p. Not sure what it's going to take.

Can't seem to break free of 240p. Pressure building though.

I think they are good value. As well as the cash which is about 50p per share they should be on a PE of 15. Just as long as they don’t spend the cash on an acquisition. Microfocus work is quite large and they are continually getting more clients. My second largest holding.

I've taken the data from Stockopedia, who are quoting a "consensus" figure from one broker - Edison.

Basically Numis have about £60m of spare cash that they don’t need. It would be good if the share price stays low for a while and they buy their own shares. I didn’t think there were any forecasts because they don’t like competitor insights into their business.

I'm trying to understand why broker consensus estimates are for two-thirds reduction in EPS in 2018. I can't see anything in their outlook statements. Perhaps it's down to Brexit fears?

Is this what's holding the price down?

Gradual rise looking a bit more likely - to 300p perhaps if business momentum continues.

Good results, div increase and positive expectations for year ahead. Client list keeps growing and shares should move up toward 300p but I have thought that for a while. Only negative, is if business is milked to increase pay of staff (rather than looking after share price/holders) and this needs watching.

Big dip near the close. So bought back those I'd sold earlier.

I found this piece quiet interesting:

Our balance sheet strengthened further during the year, with cash balances totalling £89.0m (2015: £59.6m)

Our Pillar I required regulatory capital sits at around £30m.

The Board continues to review the amount of capital we hold over and above our minimum regulatory requirement together with cash balances that may be deemed to be surplus to the needs of the business. Discussions are ongoing both amongst the Board and with our shareholders as to possible methods of returning capital where it is considered surplus to requirements. During 2016 we spent £6.7m buying back our own shares and it is likely this buyback programme will be enlarged and extended.

Overall I'm happy to hold - staff/wages costs is a concern but I'd rather they pay well to keep onboard good employees who hopefully can continue to deliver.

Hmmmmmmmmm........

Full Year Results

Revenue up £14.5m but costs up £13.5m of which staff costs (wages + share based payments) up £10m. Quite some rise given that staff numbers were broadly flat.

Almost all the rise in PBT coming from price movements and dividend income in respect of quoted holdings.

A very nice trading update indeed. Seems to be motoring along quite nicely. I shall look forward to an increase in my dividends. Shouldn't do the share price any harm at all.
