Shares in issue and all the rest of it aside, the graph to consider above is the bottom right.

That gives a much better impression of the potential here after years of hammered down oil sector. It's took 18 months from early 2019 of company-specific in-fighting to bring NTOG to even more unloved levels than most junior oilers so to me it looks like heading back to fair value around 2.5p is attainable.

From there it is all about the oil price and our drill and reserve results. That could put the real rocket under the underlying value here which, as the graph shows, has the potential to go back to 15p if it were to complete the cup and saucer.

I would discount the spike to 22p in late 2014 as that was the blowout top. The climb looks unrealistic but that is the picture as you can all see...

If oil goes to $65 in the summer as Goldman are implying (and I think with Covid largely under control that won't be difficult) then this little company will be generating some serious cash flow. And oil is known for wild rides!

More good news for NTOG from Goldman Sachs.

OIL MARKET: Despite rising covid cases in Europe and elsewhere, Goldman Sachs is doubling-down on its bullish view for commodities (largely a vaccine trade). It now expects Brent to hit $65 a barrel by summer (rather than year-end as previously).

It is amazing what an at ask placing can do and withheld news. Any justification and the record will go easily as the company valuation of under £2.5m is laughable imho.

I continue to reckon 2.5p is fair value on what NTOG has in a rising oil price market. We shall see it, maybe by April as the US driving season gets underway and oil is under real demand...
