Topicel - I'd agree to a point. But, who knows whether this oil price fall is semi-permanent or temporary?

All very true but meanwhile the ntog price keeps falling lower. It is easy to see it much lower than this...maybe 0.12. Lots of other companies in this area are doing deals that almost wipe out existing shareholders. A mkt cap of 8 million is too high at this moment....oil is a bad place to be.

I was at Oilbarrel today, and a couple of oilmen believed that not only the Saudis, but also the USA (Govt!) were happy to cause a problem for not only Putin, but Iran.

I haven't got a clue, but you can be sure that the truth will out. All that matters is that our companies stay alive to watch the turn.

Remember, the big boys that we get our percentages from are already in the process of negotiating drastic cost cuts, and those companies that supply oil drilling services are going to be first in the firing line.

I'd only really start to get a sweat on if WTI fell below $55 and stayed there for any length of time.

mmmm, I to don't know how this is possible PP!

In fact, I suggest it is spin and OPEC are happy with the way oil is falling to put the squeeze on this upstart phenomenon called 'fracking'.

We will see but I'd back the big boys until I see a turnaround in oil price if I was you PP. It simply makes no sense unless someone can comment in detail how said costs can truly come down so much. Basic economics tells us the advantages of economies of scale, n'est pas?

Just to add to my posts yesterday, at an oil conference in Singapore, one of the speakers has said that US frackers and drillers are in a good position as they have driven down their extraction costs with a combination of technology and tight spending by around $30 per barrel, coincidentally roughly the extent of the recent fall.

So, maybe ML wasn't too far off the ball when he did remark last week that NTOG were fine right down to $25 per barrel.
