02/12/2020 21:03 | Evening girls. Any lockdown anecdotes? Anyone actually taking any notice? Seems to be business as usual around here. Finally, who's the first volunteer to bend over for the miracle cure? No pushing! | maxk
29/11/2020 18:13 | That should devalue the place. | sg31
29/11/2020 16:55 | We're going to leave him as part of the fixtures and fittings. | bionicdog

29/11/2020 12:17 | Cheaper to get a new wife.... | sg31
29/11/2020 11:55 | You still have to do the washing up. Anyway , I can't afford that. Apparently I've got to spend £1.8 million on a house. | bionicdog
29/11/2020 10:09 | Morning to the sober Here we go, posh takeaway (delivered) Puff piece: Menu It's recommended by the working class daily, and at about £50 a head, is an absolute steal. Bon Appétit | maxk
28/11/2020 11:03 | We are in T2. Infection rate here should be low but Brummies have caravans in the area and bring their virus infections with them. I wish they would shut the caravan sites down like they did in the first lockdown. We are pretty much locked down anyway. I see the farmer across the road and go fishing with my mate all suitably social distanced. Very occasional shopping trips late at night and any shops that are busy are avoided. | sg31
27/11/2020 20:40 | Kog got the shaft from the planner peeps. I would have thought that was a plus, cos it saves them a few quid drilling another duster. As for lockdowns, I'm not sure what type we are in, as no one is taking any notice. | maxk
27/11/2020 12:34 | was it bad news at UKOG, obviously im too busy to actually read through their bb's | currypasty
27/11/2020 11:41 | Tier 2 in Surrey is a disgrace , we're to posh for that. | bionicdog
27/11/2020 11:10 | started in tier 1, then lockdown, then out of lockdown to tier 2 hows that fair | currypasty
27/11/2020 11:00 | Morning girls. Are you all suitably locked down? | maxk
26/11/2020 12:10 | yes, always look on the bright side | currypasty
26/11/2020 12:09 | Does that mean I don't have to do xmas dinner? Joy! | bionicdog
26/11/2020 12:06 | so we come out of lockdown to tier 2 or 3 great! | currypasty
22/11/2020 11:01 | You're pushing the boat out. That was nearly a fiver in the sale. | bionicdog
21/11/2020 21:13 | Cheers sg. I'm gonna go with the flash fry as per Nigella's chef, and give it a few minutes in the oven to negate the worst of the raw look. That vid made it look very tempting. Not that Nigella had anything to do with the cooking. Hopefully the Melini 2019 Chianti 13% will take the edge off it :-) | maxk
21/11/2020 10:28 | It doesn't like overcooking, it goes tough. " options, fast fry like steak or long slow cooking like braising steak. I don't know if the marinade will change things, it might. You could try slicing some off thin before cooking then flash fry, That way it will cook through quickly but not overcook. It might work or it might not. | sg31
21/11/2020 00:22 | Cheer sg. I've never tried skirt. And until I saw that Nigella vid, had never heard of it. But have a couple of pieces in marinade to give it a try. It's a bit awkward, as I will eat anything that isnt actually moving, but the wife likes well done. Problems! Still, can always wash it down with a bottle of chianti :-) | maxk
20/11/2020 21:16 | I used to eat a lot of skirt beef, it's actually better tasting than more expensive steak but it needs short cooking over high heat. Never tried that marinade although I use tamarind in Thai cooking and Soy does tenderise meat nicely. | sg31
20/11/2020 21:12 | Slots work well but you need to get used to the particular supermarkets system. I find Tesco's to be very easy. If you use them and get stuck I can probably help you out. Dog might be able to because he uses them. | sg31
20/11/2020 15:11 | I've never used the slot lark, is it any good? Also, on a culinary level, has anyone tried this? | maxk
20/11/2020 14:34 | Forgot about them being released today. Plenty available for elite customers. | bionicdog
20/11/2020 13:59 | Heads up, if you haven't already realised Tesco have released all slots up to new year. I've only just spotted this, nearly missed out on the week before Christmas week, the week after Christmas I got a slot on the normal day but late afternoon rather than morning. If you haven't booked them do it NOW. | sg31 |
