20/2/2012 09:46 | Don't forget the billions of barrels of shale potential. That is a company maker...if they can ever drill it...after they overcome the beaurocracy...the environmentalists... I reckon they could possibly, all things considered,in the fullness of time, barring hiccups and possible difficulties expect to get permission to have a think about drilling for shale in about 25 years time. Optimistically speaking. | sg31
20/2/2012 08:48 | The truth is we have to despair at ourselves for even considering this company as an investment. It just looks good on paper but the reality is shocking. I love the way they have labored on the discovery by Tullow. A Exploration they had nothing to do with no doubt otherwise they wouldn't have struck oil. shame shame eternal shame on this companies management | kermit

20/2/2012 08:02 | Zzzzzz!! The Group's guidance on first half of 2012 production is a forecasted base line production before those interventions of approximately 1040 boepd, (almost all from the six producing gas fields in The Netherlands). The effects of the anticipated new work programmes will mainly show results in the second half of the year. As Shareholders will be aware, those activities are always subject to partner and State Department of Mines approvals which will largely determine the timing and therefore the second half 2012 production forecast. | soulsauce
20/2/2012 08:02 | Nobody told me about 20 to 30 billion gross oil shale ? Is that 100 percent interest ? Long term but cannot find on company website. | falklands
20/2/2012 07:56 | Northern Petroleum is pleased to announce that in 2011 it produced at a daily production rate of 1582 boepd, up 31% upon 2010 and delivering upon the forecast of 1550-1650 boepd announced in the 2010 Annual Report. The average unit gas price received during 2011 in The Netherlands was EUR0.264 per normal cubic metre (approximately $9.2 per mcf using the end 2011 exchange rate). The cash on hand at 31st December 2011 was EUR29.6 million, an increase of EUR8.2 (38%) over the prior year. OUTLINE OF STRATEGY FOR 2012 2012 activities will be directed towards * Production increasing activities in The Netherlands * Rapid follow up drilling and extension of seismic coverage after the 2011 oil discovery offshore Guyane * Reaching agreement with new partners to provide the finance for drilling offshore Italy and conduct exploration operations in the southern part of the Adriatic Sea now that Eni are moving to produce oil in the area * Moving forward on the shale oil project in the West Netherlands Basin after encouragement from initial evaluation reports | currypasty

18/2/2012 14:07 | maxk - 18 Feb'12 - 09:07 - 35411 of 35415 (premium) Not sure about room for further falls...unless there are some unknown unknowns hidden away in the biscuit barrel that we dont know about. maxk you have to ask yourself why Muzzer and his cronies keep so quiet. The company performance and that of the share price have been nothing short of a disaster given the amount of licences they have and the limited amount of actual exploration they do. We know, because they have said, that gas levels are falling off in Holland and nothing as yet to replace that. That they blindly lead the current plan and have never wavered given it's obvious failure to enhance the share price is nothing short of a disgrace and shows the BoD have either no ambition, lack the will, or just completely not up to the task IMHO. So they will go on just awaiting whatever morcels they can when the Dutch and Italian authorities allow them to do something, but the consequence will be more stagnation. It is about time Muzzer handed over the reigns to someone with a bit of ambition and thought for shareholders. | soulsauce
18/2/2012 11:34 | "preferably while the shareholders are still alive" Huge LOL ! | maxk
