THX1138 - agree entirely. Although the price will remain very weak over the next few days I do not intend to sell at the moment. However, it depends if more bad news comes out of the woodwork.

anyone know how much cash they've got?

clearly production isn't going to be anywhere near where they hoped it would be just wondering whether another tapping of the markets will be required and the risk of further dilution.

WILLY26 - they have other assets than the three fields referred to. Which is why this is a bit of an over-reaction perhaps. From the last report:

'Northern has total P2 reserves of in excess of 102 million barrels of oil
equivalent ("mboe"). In the Netherlands, where Northern has P2 reserves of 42.5
mboe, Northern has four gas fields in production. In Italy, where Northern has
P2 reserves of 53.16 mboe, Northern is partnered with Shell and is pursuing a
farm-out strategy. In the UK, Northern has 7.02 mboe. In Guyane, Northern is
partnered with Tullow, Shell and Total.'

How is it according to the statement that a reduction in P2 reserves of 75.24
which is about 50%, IS SUPPOSED TO BE only 12.97million BOE out of 102.67million BOE.
Am i going barmy, or can,t they work out sums also.Or are some of the figures suffering from typing errors.
Can anybody explain

However the overall reserves position does not look quite so bad. A reduction of 12.97 mmboe from the 102.97 mmboe reported earlier gives 90 mmboe now. That is still a decent amount but the problem is does anybody believe it?
