Looks like 25.7% received from Sippdeal so not much above minimum 23.23% (if you tendered the maximum.
Where did you get your figure of 26.375% from Skyship?

Thanks guys. I am quite sure Selftrade gave me no option to change the numbr of shares tendered but I will certainly be more savvy next time.

S - exactly as eeza says; though I also email them saying:

"Please tender 100% of my holding so that I have the chance of an excess take-up. Could you please also acknowledge this email."

With TDW you just put the No of shares you wish to tender in the box (online) in Corporate Actions.
With Sharecentre you do the same but they send a paper election, although you can telephone or email.
Just tell them to tender your full amount of shares.

80.17%

How did you accept for 100%....did you call them, email them? I did mine online, perhaps I need to do it differently next time. Please could you tell me what you did.

Ta.

smarm - glad to read that. Tell me, do you have 80.17% left or 80%?

If the former then they did indeed accept the offer for you on just the 19.83% of your holding rather than the 100% as in my case. By accepting for 100% of my holding I got the 26.375% result as in my Post no.84 above.

TDW and most brokers gives choice to tender some as said or all so we get two choice.
I do keep record with ref number so there is no problem later. if I do on phone or keep copy of email you sent to them or get answer or confirm after sending email like with Barclay if no email reply come back.
Not sure with sippdeal.
I will post later copy for you to see .Best to ring and take ref number .

skyship was right in what he said in post 86.

skyship - we may be at cross purpose. I accepted the tender offer as presented online by Selftrade. They calculated 19.8% of my shares, I accepted, they sold....I still have the 80% of my shares. You seem to be saying that you ended up selling more than 19.8% and you seem to be saying that you tendered 100% of your holding. I'm wondering how you did that, or have I misunderstood?

Sue - I hate to say it but, yes, if you're a holder and didn't previously accept, then on this occasion you've been a little, shall we just say, unfortunate. It's now too late. Obviously selling a tranche @ 335p, then buying it back @ 310p would have been the better route.

With all these tender offers - accept for the full 100%; then, if you want to stay in the game....just buy back after!

There will be further tenders to come...

Skyship - Oh.....thanks....I'm missing a trick. I just ticked the box on the online thingy to accept the 19.8% tender offer.

So how do you tender 100%...do you send an email or call?

Clearly I have been a bit daft.

Of course - always tender the full 100% - then you get the stated figure (19.83%); plus any excess granted due to the less than 100% take-up (3.4%) plus an excess from your nominee company as some of their holders will inevitably not have tendered (looks like 3.145% from there). So total of 26.375%. Well pleased.

Now just waiting on what I get from Sippdeal.

Well at Selftrade it would seem as though I got 26.375% - cash not yet credited, but the share level reduced.

Jaws - I bought JPEL after Skyship brought it up again. I looked a while ago but think the risk reward is now attractive. It has its own thread - see Skyships post.

Skyship - Well see. You know the argument I had with them on previous HPEQ tender. The whole thing is pot luck depending on which broker you are with. Some people (TDW I think) got 100%

Alan - Wouldn't rule it out - just needs a couple of fellow Sippdeal members to have forgotten or not bothered; and hey presto - up the figure will go. Pure mathematics surely.

An extract from the Chairman's Satement with the Interim Report confirms we are on track:

=============================================================================
"As we have previously emphasised, there are a number of investments, including some of the larger holdings, which are still at a relatively early stage in the cycle and which will take time to be developed to achieve the best exit outcome.

It should also be remembered that inmost of our investments, the investee companies' management hold significant shareholdings thus making them pivotal to determining exit timing. However the latest review confirms that the projected range of outcomes indicated at the time of the change in investment policy remains valid."

Great news on NRI - will be in touch...
