Can they do that, cutting out the middle man so Spad get them for 96p?

I have some shares in a company that went unquoted while I was monging. They are a respectable British industrial company paying a fair divi, which still arrives. I have found an outfit that trades them and some others and they have done rather well, it would appear that if I jump the right hoops I can sell for a decent increase. But the difference between bid and offer is like around 100%, on all the shares they trade.

Like Jamie, my inclination has been wait and see on NTA. I was tempted to sell part of holding when I could have exceeded 98p but did not act for which I feel regretful now.

I don't think I would decline the offer from Spad but if my circumstances and expertise were otherwise I would examine the options. Where there's muck there's brass. If Damac held off and one could hitch firmly to their mast, perhaps there's something in it.

Did anyone have an answer about when we might expect our 96p, supposing it goes ahead that way without further surprises?

I was hoping Mr Yusuf was making the right call with his £1m holding, bought latterly at £1 a share.

Judging by the relatively few PI sales into the market it still appears that we expect a better offer than 96p or we are just very patient waiting for our extra 2p?

at least the offer document should shed some light on the vicarage gate profit share arrangement and we can see how much of a steal it is or isn't. If one wants you can refuse to accept the offer and only be compulsorily acquired once spadille has over 90% (ie. it needs damac to agree to sell to get over that limit). So if Damac is a dissenting shareholder and waits to be bought out after the event in some sort of uplift deal as a dissenting shareholder you would get same terms. Problem is by then you are in a very weak position in an unquoted illiquid vehicle and who knows how spadille/damac carve things up.

They could be over 50% now so formal offer and declaration of uncontionallity possible tomorrow?

315,000 have been bought at 96p says the trades page.

What percent of shares is that, could it be Spad's?

Very sensible buy Jamie well done

quite possible that spadille will sort out damac in due course but only way to benefit from that is as dissenting shareholder and i can think of less risky environments to do that in

With less than 20% in PI's hands, is it worth all this chicanery?

tried it myself...trying to catch out those not in the know of the 96p...maybe thinking that an RNS saying no bid will make some poorly researched holders bail!
