11/4/2017 09:30 | Has NXR turned the corner ? The recent low of 148p comfortably above the previous low of 137p in Oct 2016. There is a long term downtrend from 2015 and it looks like that could be over. In some ways chart levels mean nothing vs company fundamentals but guess they show market sentiment ?? In the end the next set of real numbers should determine to direction, fingers crossed for a good set. Hopefully SA will sort out their political difficulties to remove that source of worry | betman
05/4/2017 22:42 | You are quite right loganair - but I am hoping that thwey have dropped that commitment. It was a nonsense - an aspiration to grow the business by acquisition. There is no synchronicity from any of the acquistions, so for me the value will be unlocked when we sack the (highly paid) board and let the individual co.s trade fore themselves. 20-50% upside for sacking the BoD IMHO | kazoom
05/4/2017 20:32 | Back into the 150s but still bloody cheap. All the broker ratings are buy, all their targets are between 200p and 300p, which given last year's underlying diluted EPS of 27.8p (and this year's interims ahead at 12.9p) is hardly a shock. Potential political problems in Africa are very unlikely to kill those earnings. | edmundshaw
05/4/2017 09:53 | A couple of years ago Norcros said that by 2018 they´ll double their turn over, with 50% of their turn over being from overseas. I can not see how they are going to do this as we´re nearly into 2018 and so far Norcros have only increased their turn over by around 15% which includes the addition of the small take-overs they´ve done over the past couple of years. | loganair
05/4/2017 09:42 | ..although South Africa only represents about 24% of PTP by value. | rimmy2000
04/4/2017 18:01 | I think the political uncertainty in SA is having a bigger effect. As AndrewByles points out above, the rand is much stronger now (against sterling)than it was in the last financial year, when it averaged 20.50 to £. | barnesian
04/4/2017 17:47 | SA rand collapse bound to have an impact. | simon templar qc
31/3/2017 18:18 | ok folks thanks for your thoughts. still holding and hoping ...... gla m | maurillac
31/3/2017 17:31 | If the rand keeps dropping, PBT will go down as all that profit in rand will be worth less in gbp. | boonkoh
28/3/2017 16:10 | It's more likely concern over events in SA as Zuma seems intent on going down the Mugabe route (land confiscation etc..) | rhomboid
17/3/2017 22:13 | I suspect that was a swap between market makers at mid-price to balance their books. The offer price actually went up slightly after the swap. The old horse is still running. | barnesian
17/3/2017 21:54 | Whoever sold 250k shares this afternoon obviously doesn't agree. ..... | stopaloss
17/3/2017 10:03 | If NXR were running at Cheltenham, we'd all be shouting "Come on Norcros" as the old donkey staggered round the course. Come on Norcros - you can do it! | barnesian
16/3/2017 11:55 | quiet here isn`t it - a bit like the share price patience certainly required with nxr ! m | maurillac
09/3/2017 08:33 | A few years ago Norcros were really talking up Johnson Tiles, almost as the saviour of the company, saying what huge growth potential Johnson´s has and now look at its sorry state of affairs. | loganair
28/2/2017 19:07 | I sold out 2 years ago and I haven't missed holding it or ever felt being out was a mistake | davr0s
28/2/2017 18:36 | Jeez Owning this share takes a lot of patience :o( | 1fox1 |
