In 2022 Nightcap (NGHT) announced on 3 November that its full year results to July 2 would be published on 10 November and they were. A week’s notice was given. We are now on November 6th and there has been no announcement of when results will be out this year. Good news travels fast, bad news is delayed. So, what’s afoot, a source well acquainted with the company has contacted me...

Shorted Nov last year (closed), seems the right time to short again.

The company is not allowed to issue profit numbers until their interims, so the trading statement has to be based on revenue and comparative growth.

There is today, finally, as I demanded, a trading statement from Nightcap (NGHT) the financially challenged bars chain of Sarah Willingham of Dragon’s Den “fame”. But it is hugely misleading, on an industrial scale, and the underlying position is grim, sales are falling and a cash crisis is looming. This is the pump before a bailout placing dump. Let me explain why an update described by the ghastly Willingham is not as she claims “positive”. Not at all.

A 13m mcap seems unduly harsh.

Admittedly it's hospitality but not with the same customer profile or margins as the average pub, many of which are closing certain days and hours to reduce 'dead' periods when cost of opening is higher than the return.

First time I've seen a tip sheet look in here and not sure I agree with his conclusion, at least not short term, but they have grown fast in adverse conditions and at some point sentiment will turn imo.

Dragon’s Den star Sarah Willingham cannot contain her excitement as she gushes about “further positive trading” in a Q3 statement out today but she is a buy shy on the record cashburn and the looming cash crisis which means another bailout placing is imminent.

It is now ten days since I put 1 simple question to Nightcap (NGHT) the bars chain run by Dragon’s Den Star Sarah Willingham and her husband Michael Toxic which is lurching towards a cash crisis. And guess what: no answer!...

I put the question to Pam Lyddon of Brightstar, Nightcap’s PR agency...Pam is indeed getting Nightcap some extra coverage by NOT answering the very simple question “On what day of the month are Nightcap staff paid.”

I put it to you that it is almost certainly AFTER the 26th which means that period end cash balances are deceptively high which will be offset by accruals also being surprisingly high.

We shall come to the matter of the £167,500 and other ESG red flags later, for now let’s focus on interims from NightCap (NGHT) which show very clearly that a cash crisis is imminent. The half year is to 26 December. That means you get a full month’s takings in what is the busiest month but since you don’t pay suppliers for at least 30 days and avoid 5 days of largely income free costs, the balance sheet flatters to deceive. I have asked NightCap on what day it pays its staff but so far it has not responded. I wonder why. Even with the bodges the numbers are dire...

Nightcap (NGHT),the company that uses shareholders cash to pay off the personal liabilities of its CEO Sarah Willingham and which hands out bonuses to her husband for doing M&A deals however bad, nonsensical or related party, has served up a- not surprisingly – poor trading statement. The uncalled for Plan B lockdown clearly hurt...

Negative RNS lacking vital information. Is the company making any money? How much cash do they have? I suspect this company losses are vast and we will see a fundraise before the summer?

TW really doesn't like this outfit. TBH it does look like a lifestyle co. set up to feather the Wilingham's nest.



There is no word from scandal ridden AIM cash guzzler Nightcap (NGHT) on the misuse of company funds by CEO Sarah Willingham and others or the undeclared non-independence of the NED who waived such payments through. Instead Willingham’s other half Michael will get his third £100,000 bonus of 2021 for arranging another completely insane acquisition.
