US tech sector off heavily overnight due to Chinese DeepSeek overtaking ChatGPT in apple chart. Possible we've been wrongly caught up in that. |
Automatically transferred to Nasdaq quote shares? |
Q: what happens to my shares when it delists?? |
Jings how defensive can you get. A lot of raw nerves and so predictable |
Disadvantages of American Depositary Receipts
Despite the convenience, there are drawbacks to ADRs:
Access to the Underlying Company's Performance Data Depending on the type of ADR and their regulatory requirements, investors have differing levels of information at their fingertips with which to gauge the health of the foreign company.
Costs of Issuing and Maintaining ADRs ADRs can be more expensive than investing in domestic stocks because of depository fees, administrative expenses and currency conversion costs, says Brock. Even though ADRs mean U.S. investors don't have to deal with converting currencies themselves, the bank issuing the ADRs will deduct enough to cover currency conversion expenses.
"The costs can be exacerbated by relatively wide bid-ask spreads, a marketplace norm for many thinly traded ADRs," Brock says. "Finally, unlike domestic stockholders, ADR holders typically do not have voting rights over corporate governance matters." |
Nexxen are already known in USA as it's their big market.
They are already dual listed, so investors there and in UK already aware of them.
Look at SLN, AHT, Polb companies who have moved or planning to move to Nasdaq. Crashed after moving (SLN) or have crashed on the news to move....
Being listed on Nasdaq has it's own problems. Trump being one of them.
One of the questions is how many AIM investors will leave it as late as possible, near to delisting date, to dump their entire holdings? |
Muthadrucker - try reading my posts.. you might come across a few gems that would have surprised you…I don’t loose, and have received nice private mail from posters that understand me.
Those that understand my language will have done very nicely over the years - my nonsense is my security.
You’re hard work my friend - but I enjoy forcing your hand…a kinda Taming of the Shrew. |
Oh dear, somebody’s lost his sense of humour. If all you contribute is nonsense you’re bound to be ridiculed from time to time |
The channel itself Roku Channel takes 2% of all viewers In the US same as Disney+ |
Roku is shown here as having 97 million monthly active users the biggest in the FAST category (where the revenue is generated by ads vs Netflix where the revenue is generated by subs) |
Thanks gadgie
Roku is interesting
It sells tvs and streaming devices and allows access to content (and access to others content all in one place) rather like sky tv does. It does have its own rocku channel too however but not on the scale of lets say Prime or Netflix . |
Muthadrucker - so you have a sense of humour….thats a start? Now if you work on your honesty we could be getting somewhere.
As a Scaffolder - I doubt you’d make a base plate? Chill my friend. |
Stagwell cloud and Tinuiti for me is where we will progress the most |
my understanding is that we have a deeper relationship with Roku
Nexxen recently partnered with Roku, the number one TV streaming platform in the U.S. by hours streamed, further expanding the Company’s reach and relationships in the CTV and streaming space. Nexxen has directly integrated with Roku, providing its customers access to premium supply in the Roku Channel. |
Can anyone shed more light on our exposure to Netflix ? I can see the Peerlogix agreement but wondered if those who’d been around longer knew of historic stuff with Netflix
Thanks |
Agreed 100% John thanks ...we also have Q4 in Feb and I'm hoping for a revised outlook everything is pointing towards CTV being Huge !!
CTV display ad spending will reach $33.35 billion in 2025, with 98.4% of those dollars going to video ads. Total CTV ad spending will see solid double-digit annual growth rates through our forecast period to reach $46.89 billion in 2028. That year, it will surpass traditional TV ad spending ($45.10 billion) for the first time. |
And for uk holders just 15 trading days left on AIM
The current PE minus cash is about 9 ……
Viant is 65 ….
If it’s slow on the first couple of days on nasdaq do not be perturbed . I saw it with EROS and GAN , they go ballistic….. |
8 trading days left for the current ADRs on the nasdaq . Reminder ADRs are a way for Americans to hold foreign listed shares . They are not great. They are hard to trade , more costly to trade and more costly to own. Read up if you have not already but ive attached a snippet of the disadvantages below
Americans are in a massive candy shop when it comes to TMT stocks right now. They have so many things to buy it’s unreal.

What about the standards and transoms? It is not very often I come across people familiar with terms in scaffolding! I thought I left that years ago!
LOL! R |
Spoke to a scaffolder. He said we’re a couple of putlogs and ledgers short of a tower. But he thinks we’ll be ok. As a hedge, he’s putting money on an old nag called Nasdaq Nexxy running in the 2.30 at yonkers raceway on 16th Feb Hope that helps! |
That’s a big hit on the Nas - any ideas?? |
Nice discounted buyback today - looking forward to kicking this market into touch! The Casino will be left with playing red chips only. lol |
