09/11/2024 09:30 | Yes, I'll admit that. Nevertheless, clearly has some influence over the incoming US administration - which may (or not) bode well for solar/solar-storage adoption in the US and beyond | the deacon
09/11/2024 09:26 | TD - he does have a foot in the game though with his battery company. | tag57
09/11/2024 08:30 | Musk being proved right, when he says that solar with co-located storage is the way to go. | the deacon
09/11/2024 07:53 | Another calm virtually windless day. That's about 2 weeks of low wind. As I type, we're importing more power from France (1.37GW) than all the UK wind turbines are generating combined (1.35GW) and Liebour want to build more FFS. No wonder ITs with large wind farm portfolios are falling. EDIT: France 2.26GW v UK Wind 1.6GW @ 10am. | sleveen
08/11/2024 23:19 | I'm waiting for the dip after the ex-dividend | mantelsloris
08/11/2024 20:06 | Bought two tranches this morning at 73.1p for my two kids' ISAs so I'm REALLY hoping they're reasonably safe! | boystown

07/11/2024 07:04 | Interim Dividend Declaration NextEnergy Solar Fund is pleased to announce its second interim dividend of 2.11p per Ordinary Share for the quarter ended 30 September 2024, in line with its previously stated target of paying dividends of 8.43p for the financial year ending 31 March 2025. The interim dividend of 2.11p will be paid on 30 December 2024 to Ordinary Shareholders on the register as at the close of business on 15 November 2024. The ex-dividend date is 14 November 2024. | masurenguy
06/11/2024 15:37 | Added twice this afternoon | marktime1231
05/11/2024 18:14 | Given the sell down so far it may be worth trading around the ex divi date. | tag57
05/11/2024 17:07 | Yes I have been looking out for the dividend announcement, either this Thursday or next. Another 2.1p for sure. Will the subsequent ex-div drop NESF to 70p, or will the share price bounce first. That is the key question. Prospectively more significant is the BoE MPC interest rate decision on Thursday. Even though NESF has its debt well managed the perceived high gearing here is the dominant driver of the discount. So add tomorrow or wait until the post dividend dust has settled. All the while remembering the discount is unreasonably wide and the income is top drawer. In the long term either way will be a good decision. | marktime1231
05/11/2024 16:59 | Renewables (SEIT, SEQI, NESF, BSIF, TRIG) and REITs (SUPR, AGR) have all been clobbered. It's as if big increases in borrowing costs are anticipated. Although the real bond proxies (SMIF, NCYF, TFIF) haven't been so badly affected. | kernelthread
05/11/2024 16:45 | It isn’t just here where the share price is dropping for little reason other than potentially being a bond proxy. Other high yielding investments of mine , such as GCP, have also dropped by a similar amount over the last month. | tag57
05/11/2024 15:46 | I think it's an open ended renewables fund which has a requirement to raise cash for redemptions and as soon as it's finished the share price will bounce. (acknowledging gilt yields are not helping either) | cc2014
05/11/2024 15:39 | This goes xd on the 14/11/24 (2.11p). Just 9 days away now. If the trend doesn't change we are looking at a new low here. Somehow, don't think that will happen. But will probably test the 70.3p low after the xd date at some point. | wallywoo
05/11/2024 14:59 | And me at 73.35p | cc2014
05/11/2024 09:50 | Topped up @ 74.50p | garycook
04/11/2024 15:40 | Had to buy with well over 11 1/4% yield | prokartace
24/10/2024 09:15 | You can’t know when a downtrend has, or might have finished just by looking at a chart. A view on the business and external factors is needed, so that you can buy gradually in and around what you think is good value. With these interest rate and politically dependent stocks, there’s plenty of time to do that. Having said that, the mood is clearly one of fear and uncertainty just about everywhere and has been for a while. That keeps a lot of people from buying. I wish I’d bought more stocks even just randomly in 2020. That was fear at its most extreme. I always remember the saying that if your favourite shoes are on sale at 30% off, you wait outside the store at opening time, not worry there might be a fault with them. Might have been Slater or Buffett ? | yump
24/10/2024 06:06 | NextEnergy Solar Fund, a leading specialist investor in solar energy and energy storage, will announce its Interim Results and Report for the period ended 30 September 2024 on Thursday 21 November. | masurenguy
17/10/2024 13:21 | I'm going to very nervously say this seems to be plenty of support down at 76p and perhaps we have turned back up. | cc2014
15/10/2024 21:28 | Must be due some news on the asset sales soon as really dragging on now. Buy back programme seems to have paused too. | tag57
15/10/2024 15:06 | Never mind - as long as the dividend keeps coming everything's cool. | kernelthread
15/10/2024 15:04 | I bought some more at 76.2p. Seemed like a good price at the time. lol. | cc2014
15/10/2024 14:47 | Certainly seems to be out of favour at the moment. | kernelthread |
