15/2/2006 11:17 | If any of you care to phone PKF in London who are the administrators of Madge you will find out what they paid. Basically buying stock at discount so no effect on cash flow. AW | amazon_woman
15/2/2006 10:44 | Notice they have bought the stock and the name etc. The Receiver is likely to have done a deal whereby they pay a nominal amount for the rights and pay for the stock as they use it. The stock would be almost worthless unless sold on in an ongoing business so this way the Receiver maximises the value of the stock and the purchaser, ie NT, only pays for what it uses. This also helps with cash flow. Only my opinion but would explain no purchase price being shown. See we have stalled temporarily will get on with some work but keeping my eye firmly on this today, expect further movement. AW | amazon_woman
15/2/2006 09:59 | This deal will double their turnover. If you look at last results you will see turnover dropped due to sales of Token ring falling which was probably due to Madge having financial problems which is why they went into receivership. Now NT own them they can benefit from controlling their own supply. Very good news in my view See we have profit takers as predicted Cheeks they really should have waited though!!! 15/2/2006 09:54 | Appears that three of the first four buyers this morning have trousered their profits. Not a bad couple of hours work : bought at 102, sold at 140: £1k profit on 2500 shares, congratulations, suspect though that there is mileage in this one though. Cheeks | cheeks

15/2/2006 09:19 | Morning AW, congratulations, your faith in this company has been rewarded. let's hope it continues. sorry about being reserved, i've been here since the days of £1.70 BEFORE consolidation and the direction has only ever been one way since then (I think £1.70 equates to around +£7 in todays money [guessing]) . I toppped up on the way down, but it continued to plummet until now. Watching with interest. Cheeks | cheeks
15/2/2006 09:14 | 2v1.. saffy.. | safman

15/2/2006 09:03 | Hi all You are all being very reserved here. They will not have paid much for Magde it will come out in the accounts if not before. Maybe they want to stagger their RNS s keeps news flowing. I stand by my earlier comments and am watching with interest. See this going higher than 2003 peak of £2.40 but can't predict timing. I am holding for the ride. AW | amazon_woman
15/2/2006 09:01 | The severity of the stock shortage in this stock should not be underestimated. Any buying volume sends this flying (as is happening now). 18% is a good start.... | britishbear
15/2/2006 08:18 | Hopefully this the beginning of a meteoric rise off the back of the US legislation last week. Do I top up ? no - only because of this company's previous form. Do I hold ? - yes. Will I regret not topping up ? - probably. My opinion only, but it's looking better....agree with BB, would like some cold hard facts re: ££££££. Cheeks | cheeks
15/2/2006 08:13 | Still does not tell us how much was paid? Why not? | britishbear
15/2/2006 08:11 | Interesting - the city seem to like it - buying from the receiver is good news in many ways (cheap) but does lead to questions of course - sounds like a good deal to me. -------------------- RNS Number:4317Y Network Technology PLC 15 February 2006 Network Technology Plc Acquisition Network Technology PLC ("NT") announces that it has acquired certain assets of Madge Limited, the Token-Ring PC card and switch manufacturer, from its Receiver. From its base in Maidenhead, Madge Ltd is the leading supplier of Token-Ring LAN products to many of the world's largest enterprises and government organisations (the Token Ring user community encompasses over 15 million nodes, typically amongst the world's top Fortune 500 companies). NT has acquired the rights and copyright to Madge's products (principally its Token-Ring and wireless networking technology), its brand name and website as well as the remaining inventory. The products will be sold through NT's wholly owned subsidiary Ringdale Limited. The acquisition of Madge will make Ringdale the world's largest Token-Ring provider. It is estimated that the acquisition of Madge could add approximately US$ 1 million to Ringdale's annual revenues over the next 12 months. NT will integrate the Madge business into its existing Ringdale operations, providing a seamless service to Madge's customers. Although Token-Ring products are becoming a legacy technology, Madge's customers will be able to benefit from Ringdale's Consultancy expertise in advising on the transfer to the latest networking technology. Klaus Bollmann, Chief Executive of NT, commented: "We are very pleased to have been able to acquire the Madge business and will ensure a continuity of service to its customers. Madge has a high quality customer base, which will complement Ringdale's, and will provide opportunities for Ringdale's FollowMe (TM) printing products and other new technology solutions." 14/2/2006 13:18 | Well last some activity maybe we can move up again, some buying, also small sell should get absorbed. Good luck all AW | amazon_woman
14/2/2006 09:17 | Gone very quiet. It seems to have stalled at just over £1. I still think the trend is up but we need volume. Some good news would be welcome now. Do none of you fancy averaging down? I have done so and will wait for next flurry. AW | amazon_woman
11/2/2006 11:17 | BB, nice new chart. im looking for a plastic bounce to finally dump this cr@p. as for raising money, NTY has no chance of going to the market with a begging bowl, no institutional investors tells you everything you need to know. all the best with your investments. im getting ready for another bash @SGP on monday. :-) | humbugg
10/2/2006 16:17 | Someone on the other thread mentioned that Americans may be buying. As the company is mainly based in America now that could be the case. The west coast is eight hours behind us and so it is around 8am there. Be interesting to see if trading increases towards the end of the day. Where is everyone this afternoon have you all gone to the pub. AW | amazon_woman |
