In recent days the share price was drifting down from 90 + to today's 67 p in light trading. It did not appear that the news about placing had been leaked.

Investors buying at 67 p must be getting a bargain relatively to those who had subscribed at 130 p. Anyone buying at 130 p still holding some or all of their shares must be feeling unhappy. We don't know whether they are the same investors in both rounds, plus some new ones. If they are the same investors they will definitely hold for the long term, averaging down, waiting for a much higher exit point.

We all want to see long term holders to stay the course.

It is much harder to raise money for growing Companies in the current climate.

It may be that NSCI's commmitment to Qbot's latest fund raise gave
encouragement to other investors.

Perhaps NSCI shouldn't have put more shareholder money into QBot

It's also no surprise the share price dropped leading up to yesterdays news

The company must have mis-calculated its cashflow and funding requirement, including investments. There are restrictions as to the percentage of shares that the company can place with investors (I have not looked into the details). Placing is the easiest and quickest way of raising money without a long process of due diligence for a prospectus. However, I agree with other shareholders here that the directors have mis-timed their opportunity. This is the first time that I have seen companies raise money when the share price is low. It is a misjudgement on the part of the directors.

Anyway, £1.5 million gross before expenses does not go far, bearing in mind overheads and ongoing commitments for further investments. But, as I have said the number of shares now being placed may be at or near the maximum that the company can issue at this time.

I agree loaf, this stinks. The share price was up to 90p recently, would have been a far better time to raise

It's feels like they're locking shareholders in. Also why TF didn't they raise more when at 130p plus?!

1.5m at 67p.Reasons for the Placing The purpose of the Placing is to provide the Group with sufficient funds to:· re-inforce the good progress in implementing its growth strategy, using its capital light approach;· continue its proactive management to further develop, commercialise and deliver added value from its existing portfolio businesses;· maintain the company's strong financial position; and· exploit its prospects, attractive deal pipeline and market opportunities to realise shareholder value.

Surely only a shareholder would do that?! :)

If you don't like the directors you can exercise your rights to vote against them.

Directors need to get paid huh. Please tell me what allows them to have an over 100% increase in salary. This is not a FTSE company, it's a loss making start up, yet these guys are creaming more than £300,000 out of it. That's beyond "need to get paid" in my book

All start ups have little or no revenue, including many of the tech giants of today. Directors and staff need to get paid, as are other administrative expenses. I therefore don't agree with Terminator101 in that regard.

This rose massively on the back of that covid testing investment last year and is now dropping significantly, so thought I'd take a look to see if it's worth the candle. There's some serious waffle in those accounts, especially in the going concern basis. Tiny revenue and still massive admin costs, which is baffling because they don't actually do anything except spend other peoples money. Essentially you are funding wannabe venture capitalists. And the auditors have hit the nail on the head with raising a material uncertainty about being a going concern. They need funding to stay afloat. I love too that the Directors took a more than 100% pay rise for such an amazing share price performance with the plundering £250,000 and £302,000 respectively. (Even more if you include the sharebased payments). That's 50% of the revenue goes directly to just two Directors. Nice. All you have left is the Directors own assessment of the value of their stakes in the various businesses. With global market conditions hitting non revenue generating startups hard, those seem massively overcooked to me.

In five years time I will hope that we're far in excess of £3.50...probably more like £10 plus.

Mind you, we could be going through a global reset and everything becomes worthless.... including cash!!!

Has anyone read the announcement yesterday of Q-Bot's latest round of new funding, increasing both in value of Q-Bot as well as NSCI's increased percentage share of that company?

I have known that holding company with portfolios of investment hits the jackpot where just one of its investments bears fruit, let alone more than one successful investments.

I strongly believe that the approach to and selection of investments by the present management will increase the value of our company with minimised risk. I have seen an article somewhere that predicts the share price of this company going up to £3.50 in five years time. No one knows what the future holds, and five years may seem a long time away, however, if that becomes true the rate of return will be one of the best that one may get.

Market makers manipulate share prices dropping it relatively significantly on low selling volume. I have known market size of 2,000 shares quoted by market makers for tiny companies with a monetary exposure of maybe £500. How is £500 a threat to the market makers when they don't really want to buy from you?
