well, takeover discussions of any kind would be one reason why Neteller hasn't started buying back shares yet.

RELAX ALL - Call your brokers - the 'word' in the market is that they've received a bid approach.

Does this chart show the last price paid, rather than the mid-price? Seems to go up and down like a yo-yo, unlike my other shares where the mid-price is shown.

I know what you mean dan, but if it was a virtual certainty 20% return we ordinary investors wouldnt get a look in. We'll see I suppose

jees, its hardly sticking your neck out to say this will go to £1. I'd have thought that was a virtual certainty given how undervalued the stock is. Question in my mind is how long before we see £2?

Two positive reviews in Investors Chronicle and Shares Mag today. The latter predicts a gradual rise to £1

the company is obviously not buying back stock at present else it would have informed us.

Good sign that other institutions find the shares attractive.

Interesting still no buy-back announcement by the co - my uderstanding was that the buy-backs are announced the same day?
If not then somebody's accumulating these babies......

very good point. Party's revenues are now one third of the peak. How much of Party's revenues go via Neteller?

Morning all a good solid set of results from PRTY should boost NLR

Continuing revenue up 42% to $212.5m (2006: $149.8m) reflecting strong growth in Europe, Middle East and Africa ("EMEA"); total revenue of $212.5m (2006: $661.9m)

Record number of non-US real money sign-ups that increased by 83% to 403,713 (2006: 220,761)

The Group has delivered a solid performance in the first half of 2007 with excellent top line growth and new player sign-ups. We continue to execute our strategy through growing our player base, localisation of the customer offer and broadening our product suite.

If anyone would care to look at my previous posts you will see I have been spot on with this stock.
A fair value is 105-120p.

The fine didn't have anything to do with the UIGEA AFAIK, so overturning it is unlikely to result in a cash return.

Overturning it is unlikely anyway. America's too arrogant to abide by any decision by an external body IMO.

interesting find:- Casinos, betting shops and gambling websites can place TV commercials from September 1 onwards.

The change is part of the Gambling Act 2005 which brings with it a relaxation of current gambling advertising laws.

this from the press association this am

With regard to the fine, what would be the consequences of the UIGEA being overturned? Would NLR be able to claim it back, or is that it now?

My reference was not concerning litigation against NLR. The law prohibiting internet gambling is being challenged in the US courts. It is deemed to be unconstitutional by iMEGA (Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association). The legal challenge is against the Department of Justice and the Federal Reseve that rail-roaded the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) through Congress last year.

The first stage of the challenge is due to be heard in a New Jersey court on Sept 4th 2007. The DoJ have already asked for one extension, the original hearing was set for 17th August 2007.
