I can only assume that they co-operated with the US authorities when they didn't need to beacsue they thought the bunsiess was worth more than the net assets at the time! On that basis we should be well north of £1

They got more than a rap on the knuckles with that huge fine, but still alive and ready to continue business

Yes its been a great investment! Excuse the sarcasm. What is it they say, fool me once shame on you but fool me twice shame on me. In Netellers case it could be fool the PI repeatedly as they have no shame. I doubt the institutions and major shareholders will be hanging around any longer.

Yes, I can't belive this opened so far below £1 either.

some people are going to be making a lot of money out of this, not me I'm just hoping to claw back losses.

I really feel we should have had some warning it was coming back on the market as i would have been buying every share I could afford at 50p on opening.

Recruiter your sale was probably the worst deal you've ever done. It was the time to top up, not bail out.

for those who think that this has already gone up too much note that we are at less half the pre-suspension price and at only one tenth of the pre-US-drama price.

it shouldn't have opened at 50p. A pound would have been more reasonable. I think we'll see a pound very soon. Company could also buy back it's own shares.

from a business perspective revenues have now shrunk by about 75%. Assuming that the company was correctly valued before the whole US mess started (at 800p a share) then simple arithmetic would point to a fair value now of 200p less about 60p per share in net cash that has been disgorged. 140p would be a reasonable 12 month target.

Dealy i think that is incorrect,

It appears to me that the cash figure of $210.5m is taken before allowing for the $60m seized by usao!!? (see paragraph below taken from yesterdays statement) Therefore cash accounting for the sttlement is $74.5m, correct?? (210.5 -136)


The Group's total cash available at 30 June 2007 totalled $210.5 million. Both of these total cash figures are stated before allowing for the up to $60 million of funds seized by the US authorities in January 2007 and thereafter.

just re-read the annual report. The company had net cash of $229m at the end of December so if we take the full $136m out then you get to a figure closer to $95m of current net cash.

As part of the DPA, the Company has also
agreed to forfeit US$ 136 million to the United States. This amount includes
the approximately US$ 60 million that the USAO has previously seized.

So if they had 210m at the end of June and they effectively only owe $76m (136m minus 60 already seized) then they have net cash post all liabilities with the US of $134m if I am reading this right.

Does this make sense?

How can it have the same cash before and after the settlement ??

Hi delay still holding LNG but only a small holding got spooked with the placing will see what happens in the results. As for NLR I must say I don't know that much about the company just been watching. But as you say the e wallet is booming IMHO most if not all web payments will be made through them as they offer quick transactions without the hassle, looking at the market its huge NTR got stung by the yanks but so did a lot of company's and now are bouncing back. They have a nice pot of cash to cover costs so once its sorted out this could be a nice little company, here's hoping.
