29/5/2008 12:44 | malkie ..how do you know stock is tight? | ![]() maxbubble
29/5/2008 12:10 | hmm max..... think you are convicingly making the point for NEB's under-valuation, but not so convincingly for a £5m fair valuation for Cscape alone.... stock is still extremely tight... | malkie
29/5/2008 10:48 | Malkie - it is always very hard to get the true worth of a company like this -there are various reasons for keeping a very low key valuation on the company - one is income tax for starters - there are various methods for to pay the taxman as little as possible for as long as possible and build up some tax losses Do you ever wonder how small aim companies go nowhere for years and then just out of the blue one year everything just seems to be so rosy - turnover doubled - profits trebled etc etc. Everyone thinks they are getting a lot of traction and momentum overnight but in reality it has been simmering for years - on and off the heat, a few acquisiions thrown into the pot keeps it off the boil for a while longer. Little bit of creative accounting does the job. From the few enquiries I have made and reading between the lines and looking at the individual accounts from the associated companies - Cscape is worth a lot more than £5m imv. There are always means of getting info - a friend of a friend working there - job interviews etc etc - current contracts being worked on and tendered for etc etc. | ![]() maxbubble
29/5/2008 10:20 | Max £5m for Cscape is a rather big lump. Without sight of accounts or information forthcoming from the company, how can one have any confidence in such an arbitrary valuation?? if you could convince me that such a valuation is valid, I would probably start buying again!! | malkie
29/5/2008 09:15 | not sure what way they are cooking the books but Cscapes turnover and profit is a lot higher than what they are stating. Maybe it will start to show through in the next set of accounts but cscape is easily worth £5m on its own. I think a floatation of Cscape or a trade sale is definately on the agenda imv. | ![]() maxbubble
29/5/2008 08:02 | it certainly seems that all divisions are now doing very well...why the hell do we have to find out news for ourselves, they must be the worst communicators for a media based company ever. | albycat2

28/5/2008 09:09 | seems to be taking a bit of a breather - i'm sure now the company will want to build on the recent shareprice move with some new contract wins. Andy did say they were going to have better PR going forward. I am assuming the board have noticed the rise in the shareprice. | ![]() maxbubble

21/5/2008 08:35 | Well at least the chairman's on to a nice little earner from his last buy. Turned £500,000 into £625,000 if my calculations are right. V. | vaneric
21/5/2008 08:12 | If only neb would break the habit of a lifetime and release news, perhaps an upbeat trading statement or contract update, we could really be going places....is their contempt for shareholders too strong for that?? I get the feeling they consider twice yearly results burdensome enough... | ![]() malctim70
