Premier Networking and Educational Event for Women Business Owners Comes to Kentucky

Registration Opens for Second Women's Economic Development Outreach Tour - October 17-21 


LOUISVILLE, Ky., Sept. 26  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Women business owners of Kentucky have the opportunity to participate in a half-day event designed to connect them with the information and resources to help grow and enhance their businesses. The second annual Kentucky Women's Economic Development Outreach Tour (WEDO(SM)) will be coming to the state the week of October 17.

WEDO is composed of an influential group of women leaders including business owners; local, state and federal representatives; bank officials; and representatives from economic development institutions and other women-focused organizations. The event will offer participants an in-depth look at effective market research, sales strategies, finance basics, the benefits of being certified as a women business enterprise, e-commerce solutions, and local small business resources. Following the WEDO program, there will also be an opportunity for entrepreneurs to network and participate in a certification workshop.

The tour will officially kick off in Danville on October 17, and continue throughout the state.
