Good results, with a seasonally stronger H2 to come and a positive outlook for that period.

Peel Hunt have said Buy with a 325p target today:

Ulinbac, it's because of the additional exceptional items this year - it's all outlined in the Financial Review.

The core H1 EPS increased to 5p from 4.5p.

Why the drop in undiluted EPS from 4p to 3.6p?

Is this due to the acquisition of Fox-IT?

Thanks,

UL

A 'ray of sunshine after a stormy night'. Well done NCC. Pity this Trading update just happened to coincide with 'wider market' concerns, but good to hear that Accumuli has contributed to its current success. NCC is clearly firmly establishing its position in FTSE250 since relogation in Dec 15.

As far as i'm aware the Interim results are on the 21st? I think the price will be staying below 300 for Fridays close... So BUY as much as you can before the 21st, anything below 300 is still a great buy imo, this company is fantastic and will be one of the hottest stocks this year! 400+ by end of 2016, 2016/17 is going to be huge for the IT security sector! NCC Group, show me the results i want to see on the 21st!

Results tomorrow I believe? If so the price action in this weak market would appear to indicate positivity rather than the negativity. Below 290 may not be possible, but then again anything may be possible at the moment!

NCC Group invests over £1m in Leeds cyber security operations centre

NCC Group, the global information assurance specialist, has invested more than £1m in a new state-of-the-art UK cyber security operations centre (SOC).

The new SOC, which will provide cyber security monitoring and defence 24 hours per day, 365 days a year to NCC Group’s clients, further increases the Group’s managed services capacity.

Based in Leeds, the SOC is home to around 40 full-time employees providing a range of monitoring, response and investigation services.

Lee Driver, director of Security Operations, said: “Cyber incidents, both internal and external in origination, continue to increase in volume and sophistication to the point that they now make the headlines on an almost daily basis.

“It’s important that organisations not only maintain traditional security controls, but continue to evolve their ability to rapidly detect and respond to threats and this investment shows our commitment to helping our customers address their cyber security resilience challenges with a unique and deep specialism.”

In addition to including traditional protective monitoring and investigation capabilities, the SOC and its portfolio of managed services offers an integration of leading commercial security technologies coupled with NCC Group research and threat intelligence to provide a powerful capability to UK and international clients.

NCC Group also has another SOC in the Netherlands as a result of its recent acquisition of Fox-IT

"Mike Prentis, the veteran manager of the BlackRock Smaller Companies investment trust, which has returned 77 per cent over the past three years compared to 63 per cent for the average fund in the AIC UK Smaller Companies sector in the same time period, has revealed the two technology stocks in which he has made new investments over the past month.

Prentis commented, ‘We added two holdings in the IT sector, NCC Group and Softcat. NCC is a global information assurance specialist providing organisations worldwide with escrow, verification, security consulting and domain services. We took part in a placing to fund the purchase of Fox-IT, based in the Netherlands. Fox is a leading provider of high-end cyber security solutions including advanced threat intelligence."

Been watching here for a while. Almost bought in the 280's but held off due to what looks to be a small gap around 253. Anyone else noticed this?

Ex ACM holders might be interested to know that Gavin Lyons and Simon Duckworth (both ex ACM) together with backers MXC look likely to be creating ACM Mark 2 with PINN where both have been appointed and where MXC took part in a placing earlier in the year. Early days but possibly worth monitoring.Apologies O/T but related.
