20/12/2021 10:38 | Well even though there isn't any real fundamental reason for this stock to fall, its now entering a period of no news to bolster it up and the period of winter where the news glorifies hu-har for the scaremongers, then they will have there way with shorting amongst the covid-19 news, might as well get out for a couple of months, could even see this dip below £2 again with the lack of good news been imminent. | delphiman

16/12/2021 12:13 | It's a pidley rise and will have very little impact. Another 3% by next year end will do nicely for us long suffering fools a NIM short of a %. | jordaggy
15/12/2021 07:06 | CPI up from 4.2 to 5.1%. RPI even bigger jump to 7.1%. Will 'No balls' Bailey make a move tomorrow? I doubt it, unless the Fed moves tonight, which I also doubt. | polar fox

13/12/2021 17:11 | There's a late RNS giving details of the fine. Only a small additional provision in Q4 required, but the whole thing stinks... | polar fox
13/12/2021 11:38 | My brother once told me this story and this really explains a Politian. You go to a food serving hatch to collect lunch, you pass the woman who is giving out peas and beans, she says would you like peas or beans, you choose one not realising you have a third option but its never offered to you. The third option is to not have at all, this is how Politian's herd the public like sheep. They bank on you not realising there are other options and you only see the ones they offer you. Once again media and government's should be slapped for this and further more we should be annoyed that they take us for such fools. | delphiman
13/12/2021 11:31 | LOL Fear is more likely to kill you than this new virus, I wonder what the cost on the NHS for Mental health is these days, I get it for the variants before this omicron, but now its really about his Christmas party, and I tell you Boris this party media stuff isn't going away just because your muddying the waters lol, If you start paying furlough money again and giving out grants to businesses, at that point when I see it actually happen I'll believe there is more than your party antics to it, but words are cheap and he really cant spend tax payers money on a charade so it wont happen. that's the indicator to start thinking this is anything more than mild and a 0.3% ventilation rate. The fact that this looks like its more transmissible means that herd immunity and that's the option the government choose to go with will be sooner rather than later. | delphiman
13/12/2021 11:17 | That 'fact' doesn't fit the narrative. Please remain in total fear! | jordaggy
12/12/2021 23:02 | This is like the millennium bug, there wasn’t a problem but we where all paid loads to do work before checking and was on call out, then when nothing happened instead of saying well it was a load of hoey we said didn’t we do a good job their was no impact lol Boris to deflect his party embarrassment has said an omicron emergency as numbers have doubled in hospital in South Africa yea Boris 1 person as in hospital now 2 are they have doubled stop fudging the truth with passive missive syntax and get real, it’s mild but by doing this and then nothing happening you will try to claim it was the good work you did and that’s the reason why there was nothing a bit like the millennium bug. It’s a no lose farce. And the news are not letting your party antics go, the only time we will now believe what you say is when it costs the government some money to stand by their words because up to now it just hasn’t. So there for more fake news to sensationalise rubbish to hide his antics | delphiman
09/12/2021 08:55 | I don't see any economic hit, I think that's why they did this, this way, its just a deflection from the Christmas party scandal, only 3 ministers at 4:30 thought it was a good idea to implement the changes and then a few hours later it had a overwhelming vote, hm, are we naive. so everyone can still work, just work from home if your can no change to economy there. wear a face mask in communal places unless you are eating or drinking, no real change there. Christmas has started for everyone a month early since we all need cheering up, an increase to the economy there. so no furloughs as not needed, the virus is milder so less deaths anyhow, the vaccine works on the new variant, and the booster gives you about the same protection as before, and there is an argument that the new variant may not even need a vaccine its that mild, the NHS isn't over run, infact it has heaps more capacity, even with the normal seasonal trends that happen. A point to note, where are the nightingale hospitals, if we where really worried about capacity. we are one of the best performing countries in the world over coronavirus. I see no evidence that there is any downturn in the recovery of the economy. just sensationalisation of the media looking to fill there time slots on tv. We now live in a world where retrospective news is the truth and the reported news is guess work. "Allegedly" and then a massive story to make you forget you ever saw the word "Allegedly" then suddenly this story is bantered so much it becomes a fact and takes a life of its own and then a small retraction message when they get taken to court. | delphiman
09/12/2021 07:57 | Omicron hit to economy: New Covid restrictions may cost businesses £4bn in December The UK economy should brace itself for a £4 bn a month hit and see taxpayers foot the bill for more emergency support as new Covid restrictions to clamp down on the spread of the Omicron variant come into force, a think tank has warned. The right-wing Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) said Plan B measures being considered by the Government could “easily knock” 2% off the country’s economic output. It also cautioned the Chancellor may need to launch more support schemes to help hard-hit sectors and firms, adding further to the UK debt pile. | johnwise
08/12/2021 13:10 | So all this whohar has now been proven to be shorter's trying to make a quick buck. Shorter's will now feel the squeeze, I'd get out while the price is still this low. This means no lockdown or even a hint of it, economic recovery can continue as planned. | delphiman
08/12/2021 13:06 | "But the WHO's Dr Mike Ryan said there was no sign Omicron would be better at evading vaccines than other variants." | delphiman

06/12/2021 17:32 | leeds - Just to remind everyone, tomorrow will mark the first anniversary of leeds' last post on ADVFN. The Twitter account, if it was his, remains dormant. Broadly speaking, we've seen pointers here and there, that he has not been with us since last December. All in all, this is where I'm respectfully drawing a final line. RIP, leeds. | polar fox |
