What would a bid have to be if it is going to be succesfull?5m!

It is quite possible.
The management lack dynamism and it feeds through to sales.
The whole business is moribund and the only thing in the way of a takeover is the lack of kerb appeal in the portfolio.

..........Why pay 3m for 50% of part of a company?
When you can pay the same for all?
Is it possible?And why not?

They couldn't agree ongoing operational proceedures with partner. See news link at top of this page.
Meanwhile, welcome to the understorey world of the falling knife share price

Surprised it stuck all day at .6p
I guess the market struggled and failed to give a damm.
Cue the snail-like drift into .5p territory whilst NSO dream up another fund raising deal like a cookie sale or something.

Now there is your £ 100 divi ,now run along and find us the £500k we need as your share of the expansion monies ?

They do have a divi from their partners to spend.
That should be worth a jamboree bag and a handful of chewies

mjcrockett -
Not suggesting a cash call to us mere mortals that would be very non Aim.
Rather a rns saying we have placed xxxMillion shares to ourselves and friends for .4p
They would not have had to put up 50% of cost to expand Sort if they had sold it.
They stated they were considering return of SOME element of proceeds.
50% of the offshore units which they have agreed to purchase will not be cheap to buy back .
The new director is on board for some reason ,and a new string to the bow will need financing.
Hope I am wrong but when you have been screwed many times on aim you get a tad cynical .

HDS, You may be right, but I would be surprised to see a cash call. They had C£500K at 30/6/07 and they should have been cash flow positive since then. If they were needing cash, I do not think that they would have contemplated a significant return of funds on the sale of SOLT. Results in May will help us get a slightly clearer picture - but with NSO only SLIGHTLY clearer.

Possibly a call for cash coming now rather than a divi .
They say agreed terms to buy out mobile tank company jv ,[with no sale where is money coming from ??]Money needed also for expansion in middle east and onshore uk ?
How much spare cash you got Q ? Small beer??
Next 12 months could finally move nso onwards and upwards ?

Looks to me like they were unable to agree with the holders of the other 50%.
That being so, it makes any value based on the asset questionable.
Small beer.

Looks like the sale hasn't gone through for reasons other than price.

But, HD you are right it has highlighted the value of Gibraltar, and what with such a rapid expansion, this may well be very much a blessing in disguise and NSO may well end up far better off in the end.

Also all thos other activities (offshore, new base, etc, ) gathering pace, would suggest that we will see significant progress all around.

And, don't forget the 'p' word: 'profitability'.

If that's on the up, well, what more could we ask for?

Note: 'SOLT' paid a dividend (and NSO owns 50%). I wonder how much that was!
