"notice the sale price has popped back to yesterdays close....has someone made a clanger?"

Has it? Just been offered 105.5 to sell mine (didn't take it obviously!) - much less than I'd have got yesterday. Ar5e and elbow spring to mind...

So the record date is 11/03 - does that make the ex-div date 09/03?

Ex-div date is 2nd March according to Collins Stewart. So there's the best part of a 4.5p dividend in the price right now. (edit - looks that CS may be mistaken).

Some of these stocks, I would say many of these have come down recently.

But I don't care I need the income from it.

Normal service appears to have been resumed pollen8. I can only assume that some trader was keen to get away from the office early yesterday and turned his machine off before close of play!

WTF shares closed 1p up and then mysteriously dropped 2p to finish 1p down. The FSA fine could hardly have that impact. Any thoughts.

The Principality 7% PIBS don't have a ticker, but Sippdeal had no problem getting mine from CS though that was a long time ago now.

Eric, just a thought but if you're going to wait until just before the ex-div date to buy then you may well be paying more than the 4.5p divi for them compared to buying now. I'd be surprised if they're still 104p - 105p. But may be proven wrong of course! The spread on prefs means that trying to time a purchase and sale just to get a dividend is unlikely to be advantageous. Better to buy on the dips, as many of us are doing right now, and you'll be in profit when we rise a few pence. Then the dividend really will be worth having.

CatcheeM.I sold GACA simply to realise some Capital Gains and to fund my NWBD which I considered had been oversold. I had earlier in October sold my NWBD again to take Capital Gains and then bought back in mid November at a lower price of 112/113p for them to crash days afterwards. In total I have sold 100k GACA this month all of which then bought 100k slightly higher yielding NWBD at 3 or 4 pence less, plus a small add on with RUSP with the spare funds.

Added around 15K last week at 105p. LLPC / LLPD combined are still my largest holding but more NWBD at nearly a 9% yield was certainly attractive! Would be interested to know why pollen8 moved away from GACA.
