I cannot find any evidence that these issues have taken place,so,are they still happening?

Well I too had strange thoughts about IMG in relation to FW,who's your contender? I promise not to ridicule unless you say Intel or TI.

One major player taking too keen an interest might prove a small problem,

Do you have someone in mind?

Think you may be being a little short sighted there.
These little deals build relationships and put in place the foundations for much bigger and better things. They build reputation and show value in the technology. Realising the "value" in FW is, in my opinion, of negligible consequence in the overall scheme of things.
There will be step-change things happen totally outside of the FW arena, surely.
Confirmation of foundations in place, scalability, production schedules and then sensibly sized initial sales, and this could be multiple times the current value. One major player taking too keen an interest might prove a small problem, but trust the boys at the top to deliver in a sensible controlled fashion, hence have a sensible stake now, which I intend to grow considerably in the coming weeks and months.

The problem for Nan is that it won't realise its investment in FW untill FW floats or gets taken over,I don't know whether NAN gets any income from FW.

EDIT. It looks like FW licences the RF-CMOS technology and IP from Toumaz (you scratch mine,I'll scratch yours) but its not clear how the financials stack up.I am aware that toumaz has a revenue stream and this could be it.

I have held for 9 months but sold out last week as even recent good news had little effect on the price....apart from it going down!! therefore I suggest this is a good investment as the usual when I get out the price goes up!!!

The long downtrend seems to have been broken towards the back end of 2006, and with the news starting to come through about some of these deals, surely it is just a case of "when" the step-change happens?
Will look to build a stake here in readiness, speculative, but looks very promising.

12/06/2007 - Future Waves and SunplusMM team up

Future Waves has announced a strategic partnership with SunplusMM. Both companies plan to launch a MP3 player which supports DAB, FM and plug-in mobile TV (T-DMB) this summer.

Sunplus mMedia Inc. is a fabless semiconductor supplier focusing on SoC designs for multimedia processors (audio/video codecs) and baseband ICs for mobile device applications. Future Waves is known as a market leader in RF solutions for digital broadcasting. The collaboration will introduce a price-friendly and low power DAB/T-DMB/FM/MP3 portable receiver to the market.

President of SunplusMM, Mr. Yarn-Chen Chen, says "In April 2007, SunplusMM was officially spun off from Sunplus Technology, the leading consumer electronic solutions provider which generated NT$19 billion (US$575 million) in 2006, to satisfy the increasing demand of solutions for personal appliances. In the fast-growing portable consumer electronics market, we foresee a vast potential for digital broadcasting applications. Through Future Waves' strong technical support and superior solutions for digital broadcasting, SunplusMM can rapidly enter the digital broadcasting market with a highly competitive product.

Glenn Vandevoorde, CEO of Future Waves, indicates "SunplusMM has very strong expertise in providing IC solutions for handsets and personal entertainment products. Their product portfolio, combined with our FENIX solution for digital broadcasting solution, now enables our customers to launch portable consumer products with the lowest power consumption and cost, without compromising on functionality or quality." Glenn adds, "The introduction of such a cost-effective solution will definitely be a breakthrough in the industry and broaden the consumers' adoption."

The new portable FM/DAB/MP3 device receives Band II, III and L-band signals on the move with support for MP2, MP3 and WMA digital audio decoding. There is also a SD/MMC card interface to play back MP3/WMA songs from flash memory. It provides a USB interface to PC and a software based H.264 video decoder for watching T-DMB programs.

The retail price can be as low as US$50 targeting both China and Europe.

Its nearing June rollover day, so therefore its time for the MM's to push down the bid prices......on a whole range of stocks.

Cash position remains absolutely key here, they have previously stated that they will need to raise funds ... so from who, and at what price, will be the guiding factor in the next few months share price movement.
All imho, and what do I know?!

Quite a depressing deal that last one, someone selling nearly 76k and accepting 9.875p.
The problem here is that its difficult to put any numbers to whatever deal/partnership that might be signed.I've been in IMG for a good few years and know that it can take ages for the royalty stream to start flowing.I am still hopefull that Toumaz will be signed up by a major British healthcare provider.

Just found this on Future Waves web site

FUTURE WAVES and MAXSCEND launch joint solutions for mobile video

Future Waves, a leading supplier of RF solutions for the digital broadcasting market, and Maxscend, currently offering world smallest and lowest power baseband demodulator for DAB and T-DMB, announce the launch of joint solutions for mobile video and digital radio.

At China Mobile TV 2007 Summit, both companies will be demonstrating a USB turnkey solution targeted towards the China markets for mobile video reception. With its small size and simple design, USB product could easily penetrate the MDTV market.

Other solutions in the pipeline are a highly integrated turnkey solution for DAB and a small form factor turnkey solution for MP3/PMP players, which will be launched in Q3 2007.

Both companies also announced their collaboration on the development of a SiP solution combining each others solutions in a single package. The device will be sampled to the market in Q3 2007.

Glenn Vandevoorde, CEO of Future Waves says: "The strategy of Future Waves has always been to collaborate with local baseband players, enabling us to provide dedicated solutions for specific markets. Maxscend's baseband solution has proven to be an ideal platform to integrate with our tuner products leading to high quality yet cost effective solutions. The relationship with Maxscend will not only further strengthen our position in the China market; it will also allow both companies to offer competitive solutions to customers outside of China.

"We have started a good cooperation with Future Wave ever since our production development stage. Future Wave's product demonstrates great performance and cost advantage. We believe that our chipset solution can bring customers the best value." Says Zhihan Xu, CEO of Maxscend

Hope so,I've a feeling that if it had been a more recognisable name in the frame we would all be happier, still they appear to be a seriously large player in healthcare matters.I can see a day when soccer players and rugby players might take to the field wearing sensium to be monitored constantly like F1 car engines, and being subbed on the strength of the technical info.
