Interesting edition of the BBC Clock program which featured segment on PFAS and the difficulties of filtering them out. |
A step in the right direction at last! |
Perhaps ....unfortunately her paid advisors cannacord and celincourt are not fit for purpose. The former do nothing to attract new investors and the latter do nothing to promote the company. I do wonder what these paid advisors tell her about the share price and why despite a decent announcement a few days ago the share price has fallen 20%. |
Maybe time for a new CEO |
Another day another small investor giving up, I am tempted to send their pr company an intro to LinkedIn in, given their inability to do anything to promote mycelx I suspect they are still stuck in the dark ages using print media ! |
No surprise that investors are giving up on this, zero attempt to attract new investors or encourage existing holders |
Reassuring update, unfortunately nobody will notice as their broker is cannacord and their pr is non existent! |
Not sure what to think here.
If I go back to 2022 presentation I see the customer list had bp and many others than latest one.
The website has a list of lots of trials but I do not get from the presentation how much of this lead to actual uptake.
If they do not crack this soon they will run out of working capital. |
I think you will find mycelx are partnering with major companies (see first para of recent results ) and not trying to be the hunter ! Their technology is proven, patented, low cost and crucially removes all pfas. They clearly could do more marketing but the industry is moving at its own pace given the massive costs involved. |
Agree with the last part. I've always felt they're not a big enough company with enough working capital to chase such a large market. It's like hunting a blue whale in a Kayak. With a kitchen fork.
A Haliburton, Schlumberger, Ineos etc could bombard the market with test kits, samples, free trials etc. Not to mention all the contacts. |
This reminds me of another holding of mine . Rentokil.Right market but management can't deliver . I like Connie very much but she has a v large holding and needs to put pride aside and either beef the BoD or sell out to a bigger company who can progress this more successfully. |
The PFAS chap said he could talk for hours about the areas of differentiation that the Mycelx product could bring, but he needed to get the buyers in the room. I didn't actually hear anything in that short snippet which helped me understand the edge that Mycelex has.
The market's clearly large enough, but it isn't clear to me that they're going to be able to access it.
Also, the constant talk about the equipment being low margin but the filters being high margin struck my as odd - primarily as there's so much funding out there for PFAS remediation, why don't they price the upfront costs highly when they have access to a government chequebook? You can increase the filter costs later, but currently they need to justify the long term costs.
Finally, not sure where the money is going to come from to fund all the trials and marketing. This said the $15m revenue next year is punchy given where they are at now. |
There is no doubt we have an enormous opportunity and this is still a potential 10 bagger ...BUT can this BOD execute ?We sold a building ,sold a business and had fund raising ...millions of $ have been raised . Delivery has been Uber slow . |
I agree with you especially as BOD keep investing . I don't know why I just have a hunch this BOD is too weak.I hope to be proven wrong . |
Nico, surely the lack of progress down to the industry and govts, Pfas is an extremely expensive problem to solve so everyone is playing for time but this cannot be ignored. I share your concerns re bod but am positive firstly with their first attempt at attracting new shareholders which is beyond the skill set of cannacord and secondly with the pfas chap who presented. |
I have mixed feeling tbh. We've raised so much money via asset sales and fund raises yet where's the progress ?Maybe on the cusp but I would rather sell out to a bigger player for $20m-$25m = 100p.Not sure the BOD is strong enough.Such a shame as I had great hopes here of a 10 bagger . |
I get the feeling that this company is very close to the tipping point. EPA regs and oil issues coming in are a game changer. It was a good analogy to mention that the equipment sales / media sales are the same as razors and razor blades. And now having reference sites out there for EOR makes it way easier to sell to other companies .Unfortunately technical issues cropping up :-( |
Yes. But the presentation on PFAS by ?? is great. Nicely relaxed but loads of information and examples. Well worth looking at.Back to Connie for EOR. |
Watching !Cfo looks nervous ! |
Currently on Investor meets company. |
Shocked we are in the 30s again .I'm not selling |
I disagree - projects, especially in countries like Nigeria, often slip up for no fault of supplier or contractor.
At least they’re sufficiently on top of it to know about it and honest enough to post early about it. Better now than in January when we’re expecting better news.
The revenue is merely delayed for recognition, it’s still being received as I read it. |
Connie must go. Could run a bath |
