14/6/2006 12:18 | Washington - you are getting boring now !!!!- why keep posting the same thing....we can all see where this share is we don tneed reminding!!! Do you have anything useful to say??? | mgr1809
14/6/2006 07:47 | maybe montpelier are being canny and waiting until (as we all now assume) theres a big dilution announced becasue of fund raising or d4e...so they can then step in with an alternative offer to shareholders which will at that stage seem a lot more attractive than if theyd made it a month ago ....???...its the only thing i can think of that seems to fit with both their initial interest and buying, and then their deafening silence... | paulkent
13/6/2006 22:36 | If (big if, based on speculation above) the existing institutions are prepared to cancel the debt, then Monpellier will be in on the ground floor at a very cheap price....with a company that is on sound financial ground. Just 1 theory, but who knows... | dcl5
13/6/2006 22:32 | Yes, and still holding my 800,000 shares | luckybastid
13/6/2006 22:31 | Well I sold out with a slight loss when the bid was 3.5p now it's 2p what I still can't understand is the Montpellier connection. Can someone PLEASE give me a definitive answer, even an educated guess as to what their intentions are or were?? | the_professor
13/6/2006 21:06 | is luckybastid still here? | actybod
13/6/2006 13:15 | er, i dont follow ur logic...as far as i understand its the advisers who generate the business and presumably thats what makes the money for the providers?.. and nobody is suggesting (as far as i know?) that the actual advisers are going to disappear, just presumably move elsewhere if MIL dont exist and do the same business with the same providers etc... and id be careful then if youre alleging that you know something you shouldnt...MSU now have this one on watch i understood from Hopeless... | paulkent
13/6/2006 10:09 | Ye of little faith if I owe you £5 but I'm making you £150 then you would just say keep the £5 Millfield make more for the providers than they owe. And as to the information I receive from Millfield I have very close ties | hobbisbang
13/6/2006 09:27 | hobbis first, you say its a rumour, but how did you hear it?...who from? (i wonder about "rumours" like this becasue if anything was known to be definite would it really leak out like this??...disclosure rules would be being broken and with the FSA currently poring all over them presumably i cant see them risking that.. secondly why would a creditor simply cancel debt?...surely theyd go for d4e swap instead if they truly have given up on the loan..theres surely no PLC anywhere who would jsut give up on millions in return for nothing when theyre still technically dealing with a going concern, especially as the whole idea of giving up on the debt would be to allow MIL to trade successfully from now on presumably...hence the equity might provide some return... so much as id love the debt to be cancelled with no strings, i cant quite see how thats possible in the real world... hence i still cling to the hope that the board will attract a bid instead of opting for dilution... | paulkent
13/6/2006 00:00 | Big difference between dept & debt. I think you mean debt. It will limp along a little longer but with some serious cost cuts to attempt to attain profit. Service to the IFA's cannot be maintained & these are the only real assets. Unfortunately it is too little, too late. Suspect shareholders will get dilution & IFAs will be coerced towards multi tie. | darth v
12/6/2006 21:37 | I think the dept will be canceled for a rate increase from the product providers. The company is still viable but need exceptional leadership. | hobbisbang
12/6/2006 20:01 | Here's a rumour for you the product providers are cancelling the dept!!!! I did say its a rumour!!! | hobbisbang
12/6/2006 10:58 | I am still +ive and think there is going to be an offer. | k123
12/6/2006 08:04 | lol...lots of emotion flying around!!!... i think its teh only explanation kristin re ur post 891 - i cant believe any Board (worth their salt!) would turn down a higher cash offer if theres one out there in favour of a huge dilution deal...so maybe thats all thats left?..sad....but ive been in so long i may as well endure whats to come and then hopefully see it soar post refinancing!!!!!! (hell, am i a positive chap or what?!!!) | paulkent
12/6/2006 04:53 | You are HOPELESS - 698 I do not hold, but held over a few years and simply warned of my now proven misgivings. You will see I called it right and also requested the removal of Tebbitt well over 6 months ago. Hopefully I may have helped limit others involvement and saved them loosing a packet, but of course I cannot assist the terminally HOPELESS who's posts are pi55ing in the wind!! | twix386
10/6/2006 22:04 | ref Hope....thanks for the close period info... | htrocka
10/6/2006 12:26 | hopeless you seem to have a lot emotion for someone who doesn't have a holding. I wonder what you'r interest really is? I don't have the time to post unless I have a holding. MPL is en exception because I was there for many years. I guess you have nothing better to do with your time or you are bitter for some reason you sad p&ick! | kristini
10/6/2006 09:41 | twix386 - i don't have an holding in this company. I don't like people using this board just to moan and be so negative - just cos they're failures they don't have to pass it onto others... have a good day i'm off to barbados for a couple of weeks! | hopeless698
10/6/2006 09:31 | Hopless698, Don't like what you are hearing/seeing with this crock of 5hit huh!! I wish you all the best of luck, but you have stuck with a sinking ship, so may as well see what the final chapter has in store. It all makes a sorry sorry read. | twix386
10/6/2006 09:25 | kristini - your such a useless piece of $#!?, i suggest u keep off this board! | hopeless698
10/6/2006 09:15 | ref HOPLESS....when does the close period end? ps...the stake that Montpellier (Renew Holdings) acquired doesn`t seem to have harmed their share price....from 41p in january.... then purchase of MIL...price now 55p....maybe the city like the deal? | htrocka
10/6/2006 08:56 | PK could it be that a rights issue cannot be got off the ground at any price, and maybe there are not any cash offers on the table for consideration? It seems clear a certain amount of due diligence was done earlier when discussions were taking place with Aegon, what sort of state are the books really in? It does seem that Management can break rules with inpunity when it comes to disclosure and other issues and cross lines without censor. Sorry to be negative, I undertsand you may be 'long' but just voicing my thoughts. | kristini |
