30/5/2013 19:10 | Talk about setting youself an easy target for getting your hands on even more of the company. How about exercisable at 50p which is about where I came in at a number of years ago. | joan of arc
30/5/2013 07:26 | Looks fair enough to me. | philo124
26/5/2013 15:03 | Thanks CJohn, things sound promising | coxsmn
22/5/2013 14:40 | These are three monthly results. We weren't expecting the newly won orders to come through in this quarter. If you read carefully, you will see that they have won 2 million plus military orders in the quarter, more than the entire military turnover for last year, from memory. They havee given previous guidance that orders are up in the comercial división too. We'd expect therefore turnover to rise later in the year. | cjohn
19/5/2013 11:56 | Why is MWE struggling to grow its revenue/profits? Are there too many competitors offering similar products (no USP)? | coxsmn

25/4/2013 11:43 | Thanks Sladdjo. If I'm in London next year around results time, I'll do my best to increase AGM attendance by 50%. | cjohn
19/4/2013 15:49 | Cheers for that Sladdjo | spaceparallax
19/4/2013 11:42 | Thanks sladdjo. It seems they really struggle to get their revenue up to a critical mass where some proper profits will show. I didn't undestand about not buying back because of liquidity. We want the share price up so a few purchases would do the job. What is their objective of doing a buy back then? They should clearly hoover up what they can if they believe the share price is too low. Every little bit helps! | joan of arc
19/4/2013 10:19 | A couple of points from AGM in case anyone interested, a lot has been previously mentioned by the comp: The military segment is very cyclical (due to its project orientation.) However, mgmt. is expecting to increase and revenues are being seen in the current quarter. MWE is very focussed on their 80GHz antenna. They estimate that they deliver them to other small comps that have ~ 50% of the mrkt. The primary benefit of this product is assisting cell phone communication with phone towers and, they feel, is of benefit to the current smartphone environment (I'm not a techie so if anyone understands their potential impact then pls say!) Anyway, end products go to major plays like Ericcson. These are produced in their Indian factory. The other are of focus is RFID. They are currently used on toll-roads and suitcases on conveyor belts. MWE thought that the retail mrkt would grow and have been signed up by several large supermarkets as suppliers. However, the retail side has yet to develop further. Comp estimates that with revs of $13m to $14m they cover their overhead and hence revs above that should fall to the bottom line with a margin of 25%. Allenby estimates that revs for this year will be $13.3m and that comp will produce of profit of ~ $250k. Due to the current lack of liquidity MWE doesn't want to repurchase any more shares, there is a major holder (other than the parent comp) with ~5% shrs who won't sell due to their undervaluation. However, the dividend is expected to be maintained going forward. As further proof of the current unloved status of the company, only 2 investors (including myself) attended tha AGM. On a valuation basis this is a very cheap comp, never mind that its underlying businesses have potential, and as shrholders we'll get paid ~5% to wait. Seems like a decent punt to me. | sladdjo
16/4/2013 09:19 | anyone going to the agm? | sladdjo
15/4/2013 12:07 | indeed it can | spaceparallax
15/4/2013 09:55 | Not so bizarre: typical for MWE. Off the radar of nearly all investors: soome interest when results are out, then forgotten again. Also fairly typical of the current asset plays that form much of my portfolio. But if and when they do re-value the movement can be spectacular. | cjohn
03/4/2013 17:57 | Not Really. | philo124
03/4/2013 14:01 | I find this recent retracement bizarre | spaceparallax
