And more to come from Mountfield Building Group too...

-- Mountfield Building Group Limited ("MBG") is in negotiation over a number of valuable opportunities and its performance in the second half of the year is expected to be substantially stronger.

Crazy, up 10% on a contract worth the same as the cap. Never seen that before.

Great news.

£4m contract, surely worth 3p on that.

Asking over 2p now ... and 3p has to be in sight especially once all the new contracts are announced ...

yep, like this statement, would expect the £4mln contract to announced imminently for them to mention it in this statement, visibility looking good lets hope it holds above 2p

Wonder if we will get tipped , pretty sure we will now start attracting the attention of potential bidders imo.

But the BoD won't want to sell for less than £20million ...

This level of turnover (the aggregate won in the first six months is more than it (CAF)has previously won in a twelve month period) will ensure a strong performance during the current year and provide it with a strong start for 2018.

With a number of exciting opportunities under negotiation with both existing and new clients, the Board expects MBG to perform strongly in the second half of the year in terms of the profitable delivery of current projects and in securing significant new ones for completion in 2018 in line with its recently adopted business criteria and strategy."

It needs a chunky contract like the £4m one to get us out of the sun 2p rut we have been in for so long !

Very very bullish statement, with some very exciting contract news imminent. The 'sell on the results ' brigade will be kicking themselves this time imo.

They must be very close to announcing the &4million contract otherwise why would tbey make reference to it ?

Could this finally be the year where Mike's £1m pbt figure comes in ?

LOL! Mixed??

'The Board expects that the Company's successes in 2017 are unlikely to be limited to these contracts. The market remains strong in terms of tender activity and CAF expects to secure additional works including some to be undertaken in 2018.'

You correct jackleeds because one was mine.

After selling my holdings on the results day in June I decided that I wanted a small interest before the interims, think that interims should benefit from those delayed contracts earlier this year.

Just being cautious here because of their illiquid nature, at least it will mean I will keep a close eye no results day now.

No chance they are a Midlands based carpet maker. Will not get into sub contract RMF or construction. Never happen

I don't think kingspan will buy us out. Personally that sounds like a pipe dream.Realistically you'd be looking at VCP.
