26/2/2018 13:59 | Well I'm not buying it as a value play at one price and I wouldn't be changing my mind this soon. Its not the only value play, but its certainly one with very little support. I'm expecting a continued drop off in footfall because of the weather as well and I think the share price will be lower come the next update, unless there's been a big turnaround overseas, or the efficiencies happening this year are pretty significant. Debt has gone up from 35mln to 50mln - that's not small, but they do explain why. I happen to think the business should be quite a good one. Whether they can bring it around under the current climate and existing funding, obviously don't know. | yump
26/2/2018 13:53 | Would be surprised if dealy has a holding here, or if he did in CLLN, or the multitude of other companies he has posted on over the years. His mode of posting is always the same.. look at the great turnover etc. If you look at his posting on Southern Cross(United Kingdom) from years ago, he makes similar points repeatedly, and then expresses indignation at the outcome. My guess is he/she has a very dark sense of humour, and finds it highly amusing when posters express incredulity at the views he espouses. In other words, he's laughing. | essentialinvestor
26/2/2018 13:44 | Dealy you said that about CLLN!!! Are you some kind of contra indicator signal??? Yump has gone quiet about mtc being a value play, value trap more like. | ltcm1
26/2/2018 11:12 | No big contingent liabilities here. Should be controllable | dealy
26/2/2018 11:09 | Another stink day here. Is it getting to the point where they can't pay the rent? This cold snap won't heĺp. | ltcm1
25/2/2018 23:21 | dealy has a track record of being naive , I doubt that will change | fenners66
25/2/2018 17:01 | Tilly even the best get some of them wrong. The trouble is the macro picture does not look too clever for retailers right now. | ltcm1
25/2/2018 16:10 | Griffiths has loads from well above £1.10, I'd say he has got it very wrong thus far. | eastbourne1982
25/2/2018 15:28 | Ltcm What utter nonsense Gfrm went to 11p..no rights issue ..bounced to 700pU r getting bearish at the bottom Griffiths rarely gets it wrong | tilly99
25/2/2018 11:35 | Debt isn't low relative to the market cap and likely profits or losses going forward. Anyone who doesn't believe this could go bust is being very naïve, look at the performance over the last 2 - 3 years and the continual weakening of the balance sheet, it's all there in black and white. MTC needs a change of management and a rights issue, the problem is they needed it a while ago. Could be too late now for a rights issue given where the share price is. | eastbourne1982
25/2/2018 09:27 | Why would the company not have a future? A lot if of work has been done to position the company for reasonable margins in a substantial revenue base and footprint. Debt is low | dealy
23/2/2018 12:11 | The share price is just indicating a low rating for much lower earnings and on the other hand it will not have anything to do with future earnings until such time as future earnings can be pencilled in with any confidence. | yump
23/2/2018 11:31 | The value is not based on one year's earnings but instead the npv of all future earnings | dealy
23/2/2018 10:32 | They made positive noises about the cashflow recently. Looks to me that it will tail off to a price that's a rock bottom rating based on this past year's results when they come out - which have a wide possible range. I'm hoping that at some point in the coming year, the slowdown in retail and the international sales will level out, combined with the cost savings that they forecast. This past year it looks like they could do anything from 1.5p - 6p earnings, based on 1-5mln group profit. So at 30p it could be half or double what its worth ! | yump
23/2/2018 10:20 | this has lost over 90% of its value in 4 years, will it recover or go bust? How much cash do they have? | davemac3
22/2/2018 19:16 | Dealy was adamant there were no problems at CLLN...... | fenners66
22/2/2018 18:50 | Dealy the debt and pension deficit is very large. How will they service them if they are losing money? It is a sad situation but the gap down in the chart was a bad omen and hints at further bad news. When companies forecast a break even period it is never a good sign and not statistically likely. Expect a loss on the next update and also a kitchen sink job after that. Habitat was a great brand but they had to pull out of shops, expect the same with this lot. | ltcm1
22/2/2018 18:00 | This has potential however under the current leadership this will be in administration within 2 years, retail is only going to get harder, management need to go, how the CEO is still in a job is beyond me, clearly the main shareholders have given up. | eastbourne1982
22/2/2018 17:35 | Mgmnt huge buyers Great brand name Griffiths buying as much stock as he can get his hands on Takeover at 70p??? I reckon so at some point in next year Get rid of central costs ..great turnaround story | tilly99
22/2/2018 17:14 | Market cap is 60m GBP. Well known brand, decent footprint. Management buyers of shares | dealy
22/2/2018 12:45 | Why would it go bust? | dealy |
