https://wcsecure.weblink.com.au/pdf/CTP/02096713.pdfDUKAS-1 WELL SPUDSCentral Petroleum Limited ("Central") advises that the Operator (Santos) of EP112 JointOperations has notified that the Dukas-1 well spudded today at 7.45am AEST.Central is being free carried for all costs associated with the Dukas-1 well, including mobilisation, drilling, testing and completion as part of the farm-in obligation from Santos QNT Pty Ltd to EP112, Northern Territory. Ensign Australia Pty Ltd is drilling the well using Ensign 965 Drilling Rig.On the completion of the well as required by the Farmout Agreement, Central will retain a 30% interest in EP112 with Santos holding 70%.The well aims to assess the regional sub-salt play at the Dukas structure. Previous drilling at Magee-1 and Mt Kitty-1 have demonstrated a working hydrocarbon system, and also exhibited potentially value-adding levels of elemental Helium and Hydrogen. The Dukas-1 drilling program anticipates reaching a total depth of ~3,600 metres MD (measured depth).

Anyone ever worked out what the dynamic duo are doing for their contracted minimum of 10 days a month each?

Other than creating shareholder value.

FPMSL.

More expert coment from the long term deluded:

"..I believe the Bod are setting the right expectations if they over deliver that great. The Yegua zone in previous RNSs they have said 300 bopd. Now they have given a bit of comparison. How ever it could be slightly different zone and our Drill was Horizontal/ Directional which means we could get higher rates. So by the end of next week we could get initial flow rates from both wells. And if we had 73.4 net attributable to Msmn in Jan from other 3 assets that is the best we have had. Wait for next week and we will get figures fir those is well. In terms of funding the 4 asset
news and the Santos Spud should take us higher in the next few weeks. If we have a placing above 1p then it's worth it if get challenge and challenger drilled for higher percentages and if we hit the same similar zones then happy days. GlA we held quite nicely today. Its only the placees that are holding us back once cleared this will open its recoil..."

Placing above a penny?

So good to hear from JB that the oil is flowing naturally to the surface. No pumps or water injection required.

Shame the operator hasn't had a chance to measure flow rates so far. It's only 24 hours.

That data will come.

This guy cheapskater speaks sense, the first all week on the Asylum:

"..RE: skaterToday 17:37Waver, I sold nothing. This week's activity hardly consitutes a spike. I'm sitting on 5m at av 0.6p Could have made 20% on the last million I bought but that's only £600. My portfolio wobbles by that much daily so I'm not going to cream my jeans on a wobble. Wake me up with there's an extra zero on the percentage as I'm not in this to make pennies. We have a bunch of new faces on here but it's not the crowd of idiots who turn up say "5p next week" to try and get the unresearched to keep propping up the price while they are selling at their day profit.

I have to say I'm a little disappointed by the RNS when we were expecting better news than an expectation of 100bopd from the example they give. And the 53k bbl over 4 years is about 38bopd average with no rest/repair days. It's hardly the several100s of barrels a day per well and with MSMN percentage at 16.5/18.5% Stanley 1/2 and 20% royalties off that I'm really hoping this doesn't turn out to be another Arkoma. We were getting more than that from Stanley 1 before recompletion so the numbers had better be improved or the market will not have any reason to get faith back in the company. Haven't read the links to see what's being said about Stanley 3/4 and Challenger/Champion. If they do one of the Cha's then we have bigger costs and they are not funded from existing funds
so prepared for an issue of equity. Not sure we'll see on until the taps are opened at the Stanley's. I also don't wan't concentrate of the others at the expense of Stanley 2/3 as if Nadsoil want to go ahead and we can;t then we get cut out and so far the Stanley's have been cheap to drill so returns can be lower per well if they can share surface some infrastructure, such as separation and storage facilities. The Cha's are a long way away from Stanley..."

All's not lost - no flow rates, but according to the JB the techies are excited. What can possibly go wrong?

Two paid for interviews by the dynamic duo this week and mention of "subject to funding" regarding other projects will have folks nervous..;-)
