Why the sell off? I know everything is coming down but the last few days feels extreme. |
blackhorse23 ...do you have learning difficulties ? you are becoming a total bore with all your BS postings about other companies on this page......nobody is interested |
MCB looks attractive https://www.mcbride.co.uk/about-us/corporate-policies/board-matters/ |
IGR excellent results https://2jon6lgrvv6i3llu225kv2cx-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Trading-Update-final.pdf |
Moon VS IGR ?! |
Sold moon & bought IGR , 200-300 percentage returns by next week |
You really don’t know what you are talking about do you.
I highly recommend that you buy heavily into the stocks with the lowest market cap to revenue ratio. It will suit your “strategy̶1;.
There are loads to choose from. Penny stocks are the best place to start.
Alternatively, Billy Hills are in most high streets still. |
This is far overvalued stocks , mcap 4 times than total revenue , I think similar types of business IGR ( IG design group plc) bring 3 times more revenue than noon but mcap very low , it's a bargain |
Sad that ADVFN really seems to have an increasing number of morons who know nothing about anything much, apart from spraying irrelevant rubbish onto random threads to promote some sort of bargain they think they’ve found.
How can so many people be happy to embarrass themselves in public, even if it is anonymous ?
MOON was at 195p a week or so ago.
The time to highlight a sell off was after the float. |
Moon vs IGR ?! |
Moonpig tumbled after various shareholders sold around £80m worth of shares in the online greeting cards and gift retailer in a placing. The shares were sold at 250p each, which is a discount of around 8.2% to the closing share price on Thursday. |
Doing a discounted raise I think
D |
Blackhorse. Revenues is irrelevant. Profitability is the important measure and last time I looked IGR are running at a loss |
Just an observation. I found it almost impossible to find a suitable birthday card in Tesco or M&S. I'm thinking now that sending cards is a rapidly declining business on the high street. Maybe it's partly to do with demographics. Maybe social media has replaced cards among young adults. Buyagift does look to be an essential purchase for MOON to diversify the risk of cards falling out of fashion more widely. |
Moonpig revenue 350m but mcap 943m where IGR revenues 963m but mcap 49m |
MOONPIG over valued atm , I think IGR good valued , revenue 966 millions but mcap 50 million, my money shifting to IGR |
Why is Moonpig the main online card business then ? This acquisition will make it the largest card and gift business.
Its one of the few areas left that is open to having one massive business and brand occupying the market.
Thats because cards with gifts is a niche, but a massive one and it can’t easily be replicated once a brand has established itself.
Cards plus gifts offline is a fragmented purchase market. Online its integrated.
Its ideal for online way more than clothes or shoes.
Where is Moonpig’s competition after taking over Buyagift ?
Can you sing the four notes in the Moonpig adverts ? Thats great marketing as good as “for mash get smash”. |
Interesting article in the Mail. About the history of buyagif's Red Letter Days brand. Own by a judge on Dragons Den before going into administration in 2005 and being rescued by 2 other Dragons Den judges who then sold it in 2017.
Online retail is getting really competitive.
Pe ratio seems stiff for this one |
Buyagift did have and I think still has a large group of online affiliates, so MOON have effectively bought an online salesforce as well as the customer and retail relationships.
In the early days online, Buyagift was a very good earner for affiliates. I don't know if the network is as extensive as it used to be, as the ad. space has become very crowded for affiliates, both in competition and in physical space (you just can't be seen easily on the first few pages on a mobile compared to a desktop in 2005). |
