by 'accept' I mean 'acknowledge' as a proposition on which shareholders could then vote. At least it would put an end to the current phase, one way or another.

Articles in S.Times and Observer. Dissatisfaction with management of auction, company urged to look at 'management walk in' option (though Observer says onerous tax implications associated with this.

Observer also reports rumour amongst analysts that 255p/share was offered by fell 5p short of the figure the company was holding out for ...?

An extra 5p a share ? That's about 25m off the capitalisation. Would the company have joepardised a sale for that? Particularly with Sunguard walking away and the supposed deadline passed. Surely they would at least accept the offer, see if anyone would top it ... then at least put this to shareholders?

looks like the stock could test 240p level with an expectation of a bid emerging. for now i am out of the trade, the stress shock of fall has spooked me out of the trade, my nerves of steel has been tested.

there was another article in independent that a bid of 250p could still be confirmed this week. i had a tight stop loss at 248p and managed to get out around 249.4p. my highest entry point was 253p so i took a marginal loss.

Interesting share price dived at about 11.00 am, the announcement made at 2.30 PM. What does that imply?

looks like the mm trying to shake the stock, on sets the stock had no buyers for a few min up to 225p and showed 13% down. Someone checking their prices must of had a shock, maybe even wet their pants early this morning

looks like no news in the press in regards to the bid situation. My guess is after the bid process closed on Friday the board of MSY and their M&A advicers reviewed the outcome and still are deciding key issues. They will announce the price and winner of the bid soon. If they like the bid they would have to bag the deal up.

looks like no sudden shocks in the market after 4.pm. If the stock slid below 250p my stop loss would of been triggered, i would assume the market has bad bid news. The close kind of made a doji, open and close almost at same level. There maybe something in the weekend press so keep eyes peeled. Next week we may get the news. it's been too long.

whats m&a? banks? yes if it goes up on monday a gap opening will occur, it is unlikely (depending on the gap window size) to be filled that day and the intraday chart could travel from one side to the other, I think a good stratergy for this would be to buy £x every point on the way up.... and flog it around 3pm as all the normal seller will come in at 4pm onwards....

if Ali G had something to say he would say "AAIIIIIIIII"

when Msy goes up I will drive my car in reverse all the way home

my guess is the time table for closing bids today could be around 4.00 p.m. If we see a sudden spike in volume and the price suddenly moves we can expect the news to be good or bad. My calculated guess is the news would be good as the company is trying to get an improvement on the take-out price of final bids. They are trying their luck on an improvement in price as there are more than 2 bidders and don't want to settle for less. The motivation is for a higher bid because they are confident they will get it. the m&A banks dealing with the bids will scoop a jucy bonus for achieving a higher price.

hahahahah hello Mr Shem Sher yes 250 level held well, although the MM tried to flick the price below this level to trigger slight panic, but low volumes met that everyone know 250 is current good value, I brought even more today at 250....I have a stop in my mind but have not officially applied it as the MM sometimes dips to this level to wash out individuals, its better if you do not have a stop to close for this reason.

I can see minor sell signals but becuase the range has been tight over the last few days a 2p fall from the "Normal" trading range triggers easy sell and buy signals as the convergence of moving av. allow for easy cross over, this should not be relied upon..
