17/4/2008 18:29 | The ma&a factor is not in the price, but it has become the flavour of the small mining month, with many commenting that it will be the future: And now: Stmnt re Share Price Movement RNS Number:5976S Mercator Gold PLC 17 April 2008 Mercator Gold plc Statement re Share Price Movement The board of Mercator Gold plc (the 'Company') notes the recent rise in the Company's share price and confirms it has received a preliminary approach which may or may not lead to an offer being made for the Company. 17/4/2008 17:30 | Slowly going up,and so it should,by MY reckoning there is a good few million oz's in the ground, and they have visual sighting of the gold.Does that mean they can walk along and just pick it up???????I'll take my % now,i'll even go out there and pick it up....lol.... | ![]() stenick

17/4/2008 16:47 | According to L2, three brokers at 7 something, two at 8 something today. Are the buys only through the two brokers? Personally, I have bought three lots of GEX shares on AIM recently but none of them have ever been reported on ADVFN trades. I have checked with my brokers (Barclays) each time and had them confirmed as bought. So from my experience the ADVFN reported dealings are deceptive. Maybe something to do with the company being registered in Ireland? | ![]() arc en ciel

17/4/2008 11:00 | I think due to lack of info (due to late drilling results) and short term (quick profit) holders having to close T trades, causing them to drift down to these levels. With the latest news I think we will only have buys (big and small), and very little or even no sells. pushing this up to where!!! (I do not know). Stenick, hope is not long before you are in profit, but really these are for the future if you can you should put them away for 2 or 3 years and hope they are not bought out. scaffold | scaffold
17/4/2008 10:51 | Not surprising Dr F, On AIM the mm's have been marking down a long way on little or even no volume for some time, it's taking a hell of a lot more volume to move the share price up. Any reasons known ?? | ![]() 1waving

16/4/2008 14:07 | Relatively stratospheric inflation is predictable given the tidal wave of central banks funds that has been lashed into the US economy. Gold to become an even more in demand safe haven of value???? And when the central Banks decide to curb inflation by increasing interest rates and pressureising governments to reduce current expenditure we will have increased unemployment. Doesnt make for confidence !!!! | ![]() bongo bwana
16/4/2008 12:38 | Despite all the good drilling results the shareprice is less than it was 2 years ago. Perhaps testimony to the major withdrawal of funds from the stock market as investors have sought safety from the credit crunch in cash/gov stock. So we now have a junior with professional and trustworthy management drilling up what is rapidly shaping up to be a 2m+ oz deposit in a mining friendly country with a market cap of less than £20m. Everyday seems to bring news of yet another taxpayer funded bail-out of the bankrupt banking sector and we know from Williams at shadowstats.com that US M3 money supply, at 17.5%, is now the highest since records began. High inflation coming so what price gold? And what price GEX two years from now? | ![]() pecker1

16/4/2008 10:49 | Hugh Mc was interviewed on T1ps.com a few weeks ago and made it pretty clear that Komana East was more exciting than Komana West. Seems the the results are coming close to confirming that at the moment. | ![]() 1waving
16/4/2008 09:53 | bought back in only a small holding but will be looking to add as funds free up..exciting drill results! | ![]() tsmith2
16/4/2008 07:27 | tonudiki, no its not just you getting excited. there is a tendency to over read results when you are an investor, but in this case I think no matter what you think in possible reserves, it will be mega more. The only thing I see to worry about is being bought out. This means although we make a good profit we do not get the full potential of our investment. lol to all scaffold | scaffold
16/4/2008 00:20 | A very nice update today re zone extension etc. and I am also intrigued by the statement "Assay results are awaited from two further stepout fencelines to the south and from two stepout fencelines to the north. The northern fencelines, in particular, each displayed very extensive, visual indications of good grade mineralization." Very extensive and VISUAL indications......... But perhaps it's just me getting too excited here.......can anyone confirm what kind of minimum grades are usually "visual indications" prior to assaying? | ![]() tonudiki |
