12/4/2008 16:54 | Sorry I assumed when I saw 150m,it was the depth. But on reading further your 40mtrs does ere on the side of caution. | ![]() impala391
12/4/2008 16:12 | I391, The depth of 150m is not high, at KW it goes down over 200m. The paragraph from the SRK report refers to width, not depth. Have a look at the orebody model on P16 of the report. My 40m width was conservative. | ![]() 1waving
12/4/2008 16:03 | But no matter how the figures are put in the worst case scenerio is still pretty good, and as you say with all the other sites aswell.Actually at what point does the market actually start to reflect all this, what would be the catalyst?????? | ![]() impala391
12/4/2008 15:58 | Yes I thought your 150m deep was a bit high as I had initially used 60m | ![]() impala391
12/4/2008 15:39 | I391, KW is open along strike and at depth and the same at KE, so the strike length is heading towards 4kms there. Then there's the zone of significant mineralisation at Soloba and a further known orezone at Kama. So maybe should be looking at a total known strike length of 5km. I'm sure there is more to come and wonder at the ultimate continuity and strike length from N-S down the West side of Komana in particular. Have fun with the drill results tool. NB. Just referred back to the SRK resource reoport, the width of 40m I have used is probably much too conservative. SRK Report extract, P15, Orebody Modelling The MMZ modelled varies in thickness from its northern to southern extents. The North domain varies between approximately 10 m and 50 m, while in the Central domain, which is thought to represent more of a porphyry style mineralisation, the body is thicker varying between 25 m and 150 m. The South and East Ridge domains have been modelled as separate vein zones varying in thickness between 50 m and 60 m, and from 10 m and 50 m respectively. | ![]() 1waving
12/4/2008 14:03 | 1waving Yes I understand that,as a conservative estimate at this point this is very good as KE has still to be added aswell. Also did not Hugh imply that the mineralised zone could be much larger than what's been done already..This all looks very encouraging to me. | ![]() impala391
12/4/2008 12:29 | Impala391, In the width column just put in 40 meters, this is a conservative width of the strikes at KW, do not use 1000m !!! Put a realistic 1.8gm/ton in the grade column. You should only put these two figures as one drill hole as it represents an average width and grade over the strike length. Should work OK with that. | ![]() 1waving
12/4/2008 12:25 | Someone please tell me I'm not mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | ![]() impala391
12/4/2008 12:24 | I suppose the JORC is what is actually in the holes that they have drilled not the whole area???????? | ![]() impala391
12/4/2008 12:21 | Even if you use 1 gramme per tonne it still comes out favourable!!!!!Good find 1waving yippeeeeeeeeeeeee.. | ![]() impala391
12/4/2008 12:18 | I have checked the maths on volume and tonnes of rock and it is correct,so the maths can't lie so this truly is a 'bonanza'????????? | ![]() impala391
12/4/2008 12:11 | So it has drilled 2.5 holes at 1000mtrs wide????? | ![]() impala391
12/4/2008 12:07 | I took it as one big hole of 1000mtrs wide and at 4grammes per tonne it then filled that in above, so I put strike length of 2500mtrs at 150mtrs deep (used your figures here) at 900 per oz and it now comes out at 133mill oz and fair value of 22 Bill dollars????????? | ![]() impala391
12/4/2008 11:52 | I sort of averaged it out over the whole area, will look at it again. | ![]() impala391
12/4/2008 10:20 | Impala391, hope it turns out that way!!!!! As an example for the Komana West deposit only, try these figures:- Strike length 2500m, Depth 150m, Width 40m, Grade 1.8oz/ton, Gold at $900. Comes out at 2.395m oz and fair value of $474m. Be interested in your input figures, were they for the whole of Komana ?? | ![]() 1waving
12/4/2008 08:53 | 1waving interesting tool.I've come out with 32mill oz and a fair value of 7bill dollars, is that near your calcs???? | ![]() impala391
11/4/2008 22:08 | Have found a drill results tool to calculate total number of ounces and a fair value. You just need to enter a few basic figures. You only need to put in the width and grade of 1 hole averaged out from all the holes as a rough guide, ( no need to go through the data on every hole ) Try it out, it seems a reasonable rough guide. | ![]() 1waving
10/4/2008 11:45 | Looks like gold is on the up.. | ![]() impala391
09/4/2008 19:49 | JSMineset:- Gold will trade again between $1024 and $1030. Gold is headed to $1650 and that is conservative. It would be fortunate if the dollar actually stops its decline at .5200, a price objective given to you when the dollar was trading above one hundred on the USDX. As Monty has said, gold shares will participate and in time outperform gold. | ![]() 1waving
02/4/2008 18:13 | Posted On: Wednesday, April 02, 2008, 9:50:00 AM EST Gold Bears: Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is Author: Jim Sinclair Dear Comrades in Golden Arms (CIGAs), In times like these I invite you to put your non-margined hand in my totally confident hand. Be calmed as we walk the wildness of the gold market to $1650. I know gold is headed for $1650. If that is not enough for you today, then please allow me to demonstrate my commitment to my view of the gold price. We wish the Fed, the US Treasury and all other central banks well in this process as there is NO other alternative. KNOW that there are consequences to the increase of non-drainable international liquidity created to craft the appearance that no further major international investment and banking companies will need rescuing. My position on timing and price is that Gold will trade at USD $1650 before the second week of January 2011. I am offering a $1,000,000USD wager to a financially qualified party that this will occur within the stated timeframe. Any party on Bloomberg, CNBC or CNN-Business stating an opposite opinion on the price of gold should be informed of this challenge. Please communicate to ANY vocal bearish so-called gold expert that I challenge them to put their money on their views. Any commentator unable to financially meet this challenge should not be opining. If they really knew the gold and currency market they could easily meet the challenge. I am relying on you CIGAs to forward this challenge to any vocal bear, suggesting they stop flapping their lips by putting up or shutting up. It is one thing to hide behind a computer screen. It is another to bet the ranch on the view you promote. The technical procedure of a serious wager is: Prove you can in fact wage the challenge by an attorney's letter. Segregate the funds in cash or near cash kind in the hands of your attorney. Execute an agreed upon binding contract stating the terms of the wager. (This offer is void in all areas where wagering is illegal if any such areas still exist in our algorithm-geek casino world) Respectfully yours, Jim Sinclair ----------------- Not the first time Jim has put this challenge out ---- NO TAKERS OUT THERE ??? | ![]() 1waving
31/3/2008 20:43 | Extract from Davy's note ( From iii ) Glencar GEX ID Very material gold discovery at Komana East Job Langbroek +353 1 6148914 job.langbroek@davy.i Price 9c Target: 21.0c Issued: 18/06/07 Previous: 15.2c Issued: 05/08/05 Glencar has announced ore grade mineralisation in the Komana East area on its Komana concession in Mali, West Africa. So far, mineralisation is found along a 1-kilometre length which is still open at both ends and also at depth. Gold is found consistently along the whole length over a width up to 20 metres. The grade is consistently over 3 grammes per tonne. So far, drilling consists of 16 holes totalling 2,088 metres. Komana East is located 7 kilometres away from Komana West. The important aspect of today's announcement is that it opens up a second area of substantial gold mineralisation that could easily be included in any subsequent commercial development. Having a centralised processing plant is a very common feature in the industry, and the distances involved in the Komana area are well within the normal parameters of such developments. At the same time, there is substantial extra potential at Komana East with evidence that gold mineralisation is strengthening to the south. The current drilling location is just part of a 20-kilometre prospective structure which falls within Glencar's licence area. Today's announcement is excellent news for shareholders. ------------------ | ![]() 1waving
