21/2/2018 08:59 | Illiquid opaque portfolio Should trade at a discount to NAV I'd suggest 33-50% which would imply a share price closer to 3p "Year end Net Asset Value up 18.9% to 7.43p per share" | the stigologist
21/2/2018 08:13 | wakey wakey.. this will be flying as they approach a sale or JV. The asset is written into books at cost. Which was roughly $200k. Take a moment to see how much value they have added!! | btfd
20/2/2018 18:29 | a delayed reaction to this mornings RNSonly a matter of time now until we head to the year highs | btfd
20/2/2018 15:57 | Hope this is the turning point. They have finally mentioned monetisation of LS, which means potentially a sale of some sort. | u696061
20/2/2018 15:45 | Life in the old dog yet! | harleymaxwell
20/2/2018 08:24 | To be honest it will probably take the asset sale RNS to wake people up. Then they'll arrive thinking "how the hell did I miss this".. lol. Well, it's there in black and white today.. and just check the credentials of the Ceo. This is probably already half way sold imo. Jacques has spent 30 years in finance and during that time has been involved in over $30B of financings for the natural resource sector. He is currently President & CEO of Mount Everest Finance, which finances natural resource companies. Prior, he was at HSBC Bank Plc. where he was Managing Director and Global Head of Metals & Mining From 1992 to 2009 he was at BMO Capital Markets. While at BMO he was Managing Director and Head of the European Equity products business and was part of a team that made BMO one of the leading mining investment banks in the world. In addition he has been a sell-side analyst at RBC . Jacques graduated from McGill University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. | btfd
20/2/2018 08:21 | Maybe the new guy. The Ceo has enough.. nearly 20% of the company. | btfd
20/2/2018 08:17 | Few director buys help msybe | harleymaxwell
20/2/2018 08:01 | 3rd largest deposit in Portugal, just upgraded, with more areas to explore.. and they are about to sell it. What is the market cap again? | btfd
20/2/2018 07:54 | Indeed. Very small market cap for such a well run company. | btfd
20/2/2018 07:22 | "TH Crestgate has notified us that they intend to monetize, or find a partner for the Lagoa Salgada project. M&FI is working closely with TH Crestgate GmbH in aiding to secure the most suitable transaction possible. We note that our investment in TH Crestgate GmbH is recognized at our investment cost." | btfd
20/2/2018 07:22 | Seems positive | harleymaxwell

31/1/2018 11:23 | It might well prove to be an attractive exploration opportunity for one of the larger miners in the area. I can't see MAFL getting any more than say $20m max (more likely lower than that), but even $5m net to MAFL plus perhaps a royalty or something would be very nice especially at their current market cap. | shakeypremis
31/1/2018 11:15 | exactly Shakey. As things stand today's RNS confirmed we are 3rd biggest deposit in Portugal.. without the unexplored areas | btfd
31/1/2018 11:08 | No mention of selenium and indium either. There are a whole bunch of similar anomalies in the license area so further exploration buy a potential buyer may discover further deposits. | shakeypremis
31/1/2018 11:01 | From the house broker: Our view: The doubling of the resource tonnage while maintaining grades is encouraging given that the drill programme consisted of infill drilling with angled holes that demonstrates grade consistency through throughout the mineralised envelope. We note that the Company had previously stated an exploration target of 8 to 10Mt, which the above updated resource occurs at the top end of the estimate. The LS-1 deposit remains open to the south and to the east. We note that the high-grade tin (cassiterite) contents from the gossan zone were not included in the resource estimate and will included at a later date. In the meantime, we maintain a Speculative Buy on the stock. Tin not included in the resource upgrade. To be added later on. | u696061
31/1/2018 10:48 | One thing is certain though.. our market cap DOES NOT reflect any value for this asset! | btfd
31/1/2018 10:47 | it's really hard to say what it would sell for.. and i'm pretty sure it wont be a straight forward lump of cash. When they sold Toral to FCR they got a bit cash and shares.I know from some conversations that there are interested parties.. it's now all down to our CEO to work his magic and get a deal done. That's his area of expertise.. a quick Google if his name shows his credibility in these areas | btfd
31/1/2018 10:32 | thanks btfd, as you comment earlier "now onto selling it" and the Chairman is certainly the man for the job. any guestimates as to the valuation following this report? | waggle
31/1/2018 10:16 | It's basically a standard disclaimer for a resource at this stage... no resource can be 100% proven until it's had JORC and other testing... which MAFL will not be doing. It will be sold or monetised with a partner/JV before that stage. | btfd
31/1/2018 09:52 | the report read very well untill the last paragraph... This report should be seen as indicative of possible mineral content and not definitive, as the sample group is insufficient to arrive at any economic conclusions can somebody please explain to me where this leaves us?? | waggle
31/1/2018 07:58 | huge news .. now it onto selling it | btfd |
