LIMA, PERU--(Marketwired - Sept. 9, 2015) - Minera IRL Limited ("Minera IRL" or the "Company") (TSX:IRL)(AIM:MIRL)(BVLAC:MIRL) is pleased to announce that the blockade of the Corihuarmi mine has been lifted and operations have resumed. The Company and members of the Atcas Community met last night and successfully resolved the outstanding issues raised by the Community. In the new agreement, the surface use agreement with the Community is extended through 2018 and the Company reaffirmed its commitment to support local businesses and social programs. The loss of production during the temporary occupation is not expected to have a material impact on the operation.

yep apologies totally confused that LOL. TBH totally forget about the Corihuarmi project as all focus has been on Ollachea recently.

kirk6 - You are confusing Corihuarmi (today) with Ollachea, suspended a few weeks ago. The connection is unclear but unrest is possibly a feed over from Ollachea to Corihuarmi via the Peruvian rumour grapevine...... or Benavides revenge?

These things are usually sorted, as under suspension locals don't get paid.
Nevertheless, very bad news which we could well do without.

kirk - 25 % down - the market views it as NEW bad news....... the last rns didn't mention the natives had taken over the mine whereas now it seems they are staging a sit in!

Ouch.This doesn't look good.But that's what you get when investing in countries where the people aren't happy.A safer place would be something like GWMO who are in Nevada:US, one of the safest mining jurisdictions anywhere.
