rescuer - No, I don't think so.
I think you have to have certain accreditation or membership or use the platform provided by same. My friend that traded on the book as a pastime (retirement occupation) paid a fee to use a platform but never used cfd's afaik.
There's seems to be plenty of information about it on the web. You could start here -

A specific provider is found here -

Bodicea,

can you have DMA on anything other than CFD's ??

got a trader mate who loads his DMA trades first thing, places both buy and sell trades at auction, waits for one of them to be executed, then depending on the trend for the day, closes out and lets the other run.

makes money every morning.

was thinking about DMA, but was informed that you need to trade CFD's to obtain that facility.

is that correct ??

thanks in advance

partner - Don't worry too much about buy/sell label on advfn - First, it's only a guess based on the mid price as a divider. Secondly, AT trades can be either buys or sells whether at bid or offer, as a bid on the book is not necessarily a market maker but will always execute as a 'sell'. Likewise an offer can be from a seller and will execute as a 'buy'. The buyer or seller just needs to have dma (direct market access) to use the order book I believe. As a friend with dma told me, they do not consider them as anything but trades (i.e. with a buyer AND seller) which is why advfn shows the last 'trade' as the current price (although one may specifically select the alternative 'mid price' for one's monitor column.)

hazl - As I'm already in, like you, I will be holding. However, from the sidelines I would wait to see what the financing package is. I hope it's not very much equity as that would dilute existing holders very badly at this price.

No, but impressive, Saturn 5 did indeed record Inspiral Carpet.

do you think the Inspiral Carpets took their name from the Saturn 5 release.

clearly into your music, so here's a plug.

check out LISBON on Soundcloud.

I managed them until late last year. They were then signed by warners and have just been signed by The Agency Group.

Their debut download "BlueLove" is available now, with their new EP due out later in the summer.

cracking bunch of kids, with some great toons.

enjoy :-)

rescuer (Ultra Music Management)

ps, sorry for the plug, but get me on music and I'll be here all day.

off on the school run now,

look forward to your evaluation of BlueLove

So establishing that this is a better bet than many miners, with good production costs per ounce and previous buy-out interest, then when is the best time to buy, now, when at a low? Or later when gold companies are more a trend again?
I guess its an individual decision as to how long you are prepared to wait and what your time horizons are for tied up cash.
For me, I am happy to hold.
As we know shares never remain in a straight line so good luck people!

One needs a pretty good srory for the price to hold or better, rise in the face of a financing deal. MIRL's record of delivery probably justifies, based on its cost record on Corihuarmi.

Incidentally, while the existing pit at Cori is running out, there is reasonable expectation of further low grade ore close by that would utilise the existing plant with little additional capital outlay - probably just a short section of haul road and a fair deal of stripping. The current heap leach expansion there seems rather to anticipate ongoing operations which will logically continue as long as the site can remain net cash-flow positive.

From the last quarterly -
"At Corihuarmi, there are new targets that will be subject to exploration activities in 2014 that have the potential to result in further extensions to the life of the mine. In pursuit of this objective, the Company will soon commence a 26-hole, 1,600-metre drill program on the Ely and Cayhua Ridge prospects. The drill program is to be completed mid-year at an expected cost of between $250,000 and $300,000, which the Company expects to capitalize.

"The 2014 Corihuarmi capital budget is $1.9 million, including $1.5 million for a heap leach pad expansion that will commence in the third quarter of 2014. This expansion is to accommodate all of the material that is scheduled to be mined and stacked until late-2015, when the currently known areas of gold mineralization are scheduled to be depleted."

UPDATE - Minera IRL pleased with Ollachea optimisation study
By Philip Whiterow June 04 2014, 2:08pm

--adds broker comment, share price--
Minera IRL's (LON:MIRL) optimisation study for its flagship Ollachea project in Peru has come out better than expected, it said.

Deferral of some pre-production work will reduce the upfront cost of the project to US$165mln, from US$178mln estimated in the 2012 definitive feasibility study, while the total capital requirement drops slightly to US$220mln.

Time will tell. I presume we are all responsible adults on here, who do not rely (at least not entirely), on opinions expressed on internet bbs to make our investment decisions!!☺

Always the same MO too. He only seems to post when the shares start to rise. You also need to check his figures and assumptions as they were completely wrong and misleading on CDC not long back.

- commissioning put back to mid 2016 (if financing/permits are completed in Q3)

- 3% drop in mineable grade (after 0.5MT Indicated Resources moved to Reserves)

- capex costs 1.5% better off at $220m but "those costs are still based on 2012
cost assumptions. However the directors believe cost increases may be offset by
possibly cheaper equipment/services due to a depressed mining services sector")

- opex costs worsened by 0.7%, and again "still based on 2012 cost assumptions"

- using $1300 gold price when it's only $1240. Standard practice in feasibility
studies is to apply a discount to current commodity prices not apply a premium.

- NPV7% is not right for Peru, NPV15 being the norm. As an example, the DFS for
Rio Tinto's Tintaya copper mine showed a 20-10% NPV range. MIRL only show 10-0%.

Finally, Good News for Mining in Peru: Ricardo CarriĆ³n and Alberto Arispe
By The Gold Report, on June 3rd, 2014, 4:00 am in Expert Interviews

TMR: What other companies do you like in Peru's junior environment?

RC: There are many well-developed, largely derisked assets that are undervalued in Peru because of the 2013 crisis. For example, Minera IRL Ltd. (IRL:TSX; MIRL:LSE; MIRL:BVL) is in the final stage of financing the construction of its Ollachea project-a 2 million ounce gold project that will generate 100,000 ounces of gold per year for the next 10 years. And Minera's market cap is only $50M. Once the financing is out on the table, Minera will be an excellent pick for investors.

TMR: Is Minera financing the project by selling shares or taking on debt or a combination?

RC: Minera's financing structure includes equity and debt financing. That is a typical strategy at this stage of development

Not sure DRH,

still got a small position, but need to look at how they are going to finance the Production Gap.

On todays RNS, was tempted to add, but have held back.

Ollachea will produce, as stated in 2016.

The current mine is depleting and with the extra production they generated in the first Q, the update states that the mine will come to it's natural end earlier than expected, (due to increased production).

I can't see where any Cash Generations coming from, from mid 2015 to production in 2016.

I ain't looked at the cash burn situation, but with limited working capital, they will need to bridge the finance for the next 12 - 18 months.

That said, once we get to 2016, this is going to be a no brainer. Est of nearly 1m oz and the cost base is half the sale costs.

Question is, load up now and lock in funds, or wait until the finance has been signed off and sorted.

May miss a few points on the way up,

excellent AIM play this, pleased I tipped it out to other traders at the turn of the year.

All IMHO of course
