09/10/2011 20:26 | ........and I speak as a long-standing member of the British Legion. People like you, they actually despise. | smelgy
09/10/2011 20:25 | .......threatening then kelly old son? They'll be interested in that. And pigs like you don't really impress me one bit. Trouble is, when you come back to civvy street, you haven't a clue. | smelgy
09/10/2011 20:08 | ..........adh0 - that's for the shares in issue to the public. There are more that aren't traded, and there is debt, but in all you could pick up the whole shebang, the stadium, the club, the land around it, the players et al for around £25m at the moment. A rich arab who wanted a second-tier London club, 3 miles from the City could bid £50 per share and spend £150m on a plaything, and possibly take them up into the Premier League. I think we have reached the bottom here, and the only way is up. | smelgy
09/10/2011 20:04 | .........hey "kelly" I'd be careful what I write if I were you - "3 kills to your name"? Think the old bill might be interested in you. Shall I instigate an investigation then? | smelgy
09/10/2011 19:59 | Jeez these are "cheap" now, how low can it go? The placing at £10 cleared the worst of the debt I thought? Its only a few games into the Season I think pricing in relegation now is a bit premature. Is the ADVFN info correct, the whole club can be picked up for less than £2m? They got £2.5m for Morrisson over the Summer. | adh0

16/9/2011 08:31 | Woolworth Smelgy - 1 Nov'07 - 10:25 - 8011 ...........just come back from walking pongo. Broker confirmed 20,000 @ 20.94. Happy with that. Smelgy - 2 Nov'07 - 09:10 - 8047 Actually I'm off to Woolies a bit later to start some Christmas shopping. Very impressed with the way they've laid the shop out now. Can't stop enthusing really because for the last few weeks our local branch has been very busy. Every time I purchase something there I think of the bottom line. Smelgy - 7 Nov'07 - 15:57 - 8103 .........just in for another 10,000 at 18.7. Smelgy - 8 Nov'07 - 15:17 - 8145 Many years of City experience taught me to do research "on the ground" as it were, and Woolies is certainly buzzing at the moment, at least here. Smelgy - 9 Nov'07 - 12:13 - 8178 ........will be buying in once again. Smelgy - 15 Nov'07 - 12:19 - 8301 I predict Woolies will have an excellent Christmas this year, and we will have an excellent share price once the xmas trading statement is out. Smelgy - 8 Dec'07 - 14:15 - 9222 .......Sutton High St absolutely heaving today, and Woollies no exception. 9 tills open and huge queues. Smelgy - 11 Dec'07 - 12:55 - 9392 .......anyone remember when next was 6p? Look at them now! Smelgy - 12 Dec'07 - 22:50 - 9473 More than happy to hold and top-up. ... then silence | r0bin bastard
24/8/2011 08:54 | ...............anoth Note they also achieved £2.8 for Morison - more than the silly market cap at the moment! | smelgy

06/8/2011 17:10 | ............handy away point at promotion favourites Reading. Disappointing we were 2-0 up with 5 mins to go. Musn't chuck it away at home next week to Forest. A point nonetheless and placed in 9th early doors. | smelgy
04/8/2011 13:01 | Promotion expected !! | wenlynn
10/6/2011 12:30 | Millwall might have been the next billionaire-owned football club, but the trail has run cold. Lakshmi Mittal's son-in-law, Amit Bhatia, quit the board of Queens Park Rangers last month ostensibly in protest at the rise in ticket prices (of up to 73% a match). But he may have had another motive: a bid for another club. Bhatia is understood to be the money behind the Renewal company which is trying to introduce a masterplan for "London's Sporting Village" around the Den. But the masterstroke would have been to buy Millwall and despite a lot of preliminary work, so far there have been no direct talks. Digger hears the reason for that may be that Bhatia is preparing a fresh bid to take over QPR. He did not return a call yesterday but watch this space. guardian | philanderer
10/6/2011 11:46 | ........also news this morning from the League conference in Cyprus, is that clubs in the Championship have agreed a form of "wage-cap", agreeing to spend no more than 60% of income on players wages. This can only be good for clubs like Millwall who have a never-ending supply of young players coming through their excellent academy. | smelgy
10/6/2011 11:00 | ...............Looks to me as though KJ is having a clear-out in preparation for the next season. They've also made some nice profits on transfer dealings already this close season. | smelgy |
