07/6/2011 10:44 | Apparantly they got £3.5m for him. | adh0
31/5/2011 23:24 | Blackpool wont have fanatical home or away support next season! Blackpool will take appx 400 to the New Den for a Sat 3pm KO, less if a weekday. Birmingham will take appx 1100 if a Sat 3pm KO If a midweek KO, then appx 700 peeps West Ham, 3000 (Sat or midweek) | replicas1967
22/5/2011 20:26 | .........given that Birmingham and Blackpool (not to mention West Ham) are down to our league, and given that they both have fanatical away support, this is a positive for MWH in that average gates will once again rise next season. All to play for, hopefully a promotion push or at least the play-offs not to mention the property interests. BUY. | smelgy
16/5/2011 12:31 | Warnock staying put, as is King Kenny ! Mission accomplished by MFC Agent Avram at Wet Spam and new mission being assigned as deep undercover Director of Football at Chelski. He's confident of success again and has already re-booked the plane for the Millwall banner flyover at the bridge next May. | georgio44

08/5/2011 21:32 | ....adh0 - take your points on board. Always best to quietly accumulate when no-one else is interested. The last RNS stated their intention to push for the premiership, and also a planning application has been put in to "extend" (ie increase) capacity at the Den in preparation for this. I'm pretty comfortable with the fact the person at the helm is a yank - businesswise they are pretty astute, and yes Brighton is but a mere 40 mins away by train, and their gates are pretty good. Reckon they could bring at least 5,000 to the Den when they meet. Will be a pretty interesting close season as well, and I expect them to make some decent signings this summer. Even if it doesn't come off as I expect, I can always will the stock to the offspring! | smelgy
08/5/2011 20:26 | Im not sure they will be able to challenge for the title and is Brighton really a local Derby??? Also will the WestHam derby actually generate any £s for the club after paying for the policing costs is factored in? They are still cheap though I am with you there, but I dont share your optimism for on the pitch success and also I dont think the matches you list will generate enough extra income to do a lot. The price will only rise on the back of a bid or next Spring when they "may" again be pushing for promotion but other than that I cant really see why they are a buy? | adh0
08/5/2011 20:18 | ............given the weekends results, I will continue, slowly and quietly, to accumulate MWH stock at these ridiculous levels. Next year, in the Championship, for which Millwall are positively poised to either win or get into the play-offs, they will have local derbies against, West Ham, possibly Reading, Crystal Palace, Brighton, and possibly MK Dons. A possible 5 sell-outs and Jackett is already working on winning the league next year. A positive steal at these prices. | smelgy
04/5/2011 17:37 | not sure where you get your market cap from...nearly 1.4m shares in issue after the offer... at the current 600p makes £8.4m also they raised just over £11m in december of which £8m ish paid off debt and loans which begs the question as to whether more funds will now need to be raised. | supercity
03/5/2011 20:51 | smelgy 'not in public hands' means these are owned by PDMR, and not by those who are not involved in the running of the co. These shares are not 'waiting' to be issued, -- they have already been issued. The mcap is based on shares actually issued. This is my understanding. It is very likely, imo, based on the long history of what the bod of mwh have done, there will be several placings/rights issues -- made to appear less painful after the recent 100,000 for 1 consolidation. With each fundraise the share price will slip a few more notches, as it did so, so many times before. Will it be back to 'penny' share again? The bit about 'they have property' is very old and goes back to the ipo -- I think 20 years ago. | 2magpies
03/5/2011 12:17 | If so 15 points deduction. IMO | 0verzeal
03/5/2011 12:11 | Please do so cos................a Smelgy - 3 May'11 - 11:02 - 1930 of 1930 .............while the ignorant on the other thread, continue to post stupid and inane comments, I will quietly add to my holding here over the coming months in preparation for the inevitable bonanza. | dark_angel3

02/5/2011 16:54 | .......anna00 - technicall you are right, but factually you are wrong. There are 1.4m shares, but 77% of those are NOT in public hands. Having run a company many years ago, I believe in this case the shares are there to be issued on an as and when basis, but technically one could pick up the company in one swoop for under £3m according to London Stock Exchange figures. Even if we accept your valuation, £10m is still peanuts to someone looking for a potential premiership side, just 2-3 miles from the City and with land/property interests in the mix as well. | smelgy
02/5/2011 08:04 | The Company currently has 1,390,523 Ordinary Shares of £10 each in issue The number of shares not in the public hands (i.e. with Directors etc) is 1,070,127, representing 77.88% of the shares in issue. | wenlynn
02/5/2011 08:00 | For the record, there are about 1.4 million shares issued and the mkt cap is £10 mn at the current sp, NOT £3 mn. | anna00
01/5/2011 20:30 | this share has been a dog for me for years, only ever lost money on this....dire.. | doorway
01/5/2011 16:38 | I.e. It would be cheaper to start a new club than to buy MWH. | jfishy55
01/5/2011 16:37 | "Tell me where you can buy a potential Premier League club for under £3m?" Except you won't just be paying the £3m, you will also be taking on debt. Also, look at the cash burn rate... | jfishy55
30/4/2011 23:40 | At this rate you'll be playing Scarborough in the league. They'll bury you. Ha Ha and Ha | dark_angel3
30/4/2011 16:45 | BREAKING NEWS The Namibian Government are going to make a bid for MWH on Tuesday. According to my ruthless, heartless and personal broker who has been a friend for over 40 years the rumour in the City is £22 a share. Apparently the Government have just had an unexpected windfall. | dark_angel3 |
