A 600k sale would not have got 1.15p in this market.

Interesting that Msys right now are displaying their point of need equipment at the Boston Bioprocessing summit in US.

We need some news and soon.

Several stocks are suffering this treatment Dave. Drip, drip reductions with every small sale, and an almost complete buyers strike during these dog days of August not helped by the uncertain economic climate, not to mention all the sabre rattling worldwide.

That seemed a very cheap price for the 600k but Singer moved up straight after so it must have been one.

I’m guessing another big dump by Singer’s seller to come through delayed?

Spot on bones

1.425 mil at 1.21, quite a good price, only a 0.09p discount for that size.

All sounds good

Yes, I would expect a minimum 1M sale to cause such an aggressive move by Singers.

Until the company updates on something, the quotes are at the mercy of the market and, at the moment, it is skittish with investors forcing small cap funds to liquidate for redemptions. Miton UK Microcap being one example. It feeds on investor insecurity as do the market makers.

I guess one of the funds has jettisoned a big lump today given the aggressive position taken by Singers on the book. They are offering at 1.30, whereas the others are at 1.6 minimum. In reality, Singer controls this stock and Winterfloods add a little liquidity. Not sure why the other two MM’s bother.

1.3p offer and no problem buying size.

It was only about a week ago it was 1.6p offer and nothing available online.

Do you know who the intended audience is for those notes, Dave? The company publishes them without saying, so I assume they are for general industry consumption. As a non-expert, I find it hard to quantify the significance of these technical papers versus the competition. On the face of it, I guess they offer significant advantages over the competition and maybe an agreement will be forthcoming at some stage.

So many spikes follow a long period of "boredom" and inaction. Who are we to know what deal or collaboration in the Biologics field will be announced by MSYS. I am, for right or wrong, banking on the CEO's upbeat analysis of prospects as a sign of future progress. He is suitably incentivised by options to achieve a lot of that.

If we were in a raging bull market where MSYS (and a couple of my others) were not rising when all others were, then I would be concerned. But it is a bear market in UK small caps and we have to rely on fresh contracts/deals/collabs/news in order to have the momentum chasers climb aboard.

So, pennyfalls, I can't agree with you as I think you are looking across the ravine and concluding that there is nothing on the other side due to the volume of air in-between!

That's what I like about the boring ones, they come out with a wonder deal and the herd pile into them when 100-200% up.

I disagree with the drip selling, there has been way more buying than selling over the previous 2 months, the mm's keep the spread nice and wide and make a killing on the 2 way trade, no need for them to spike it when this happens.

IMO completely agree with KingDong..
I think this shot its bolt on the 50/200 day crossover technicals; people bought in on that - and it did have a 30% foray upwards. And that was it.
There has been no volume - apart from drip selling ..

Because this has disappointed so much in the past, and is a pure sales product share, this will only bounce north seriously on a better revenue RNS, imo

I'm invested in a few stocks in this sector or bio sector.

Sadly because this market has got saturated with quick buck merchants these stocks
can be friendless until they're up a good % of got serious volume and momentum.

When it hit 2p there was buyers all over it. mm's always seem to get bailed out with this stock, it's been a good steady earner for them over the last few months.

I'm confident of more deals this year and then watch the herd chase the spike.

Dave,

That's all great but I'm not the market, so when they actually report some contract pound signs then it will hover at about this price.

Msys can have the best product in their field but let's see some major rollout of contracts. It nearly happened with the big bio only to be let down. Another tie up like that with concrete commercialisation and it's rocket time!

Well MSYS have just wheeled this out on twitter. Perhaps you can read it and let us know your thoughts.
