The first placing was at 1350P if I remember correctly so taking into account all the placings 1505P for the last one has got to a good result. If I had had the sense to sell before each placing and buy back afterwards could have made some serious money.

As they say hindsight is a wonderful thing!

At last, they are out. A few left for staff, etc to keep to enjoy to ride to 2000p+ it's certainly nice to know no big seller there anymore. Onwards and upwards.

SP tomorrow will depend on the placing price. In the past placings there was a sharp fall in the share price followed by recovery so possibly a buying opportunity.

On the other hand as this is the last sale hard to tell what might happen.

Read Panmure Gordon & Co's note on MICRO FOCUS INTERNATIONAL (MCRO), out this morning, by visiting hxxps://www.research-tree.com/company/GB00BQY7BX88

"CA (Computer Associates) delivered results in line with expectations after hours last night – this is a good read across for Micro Focus’s core business. Similar to Micro Focus we believe that CAs performance is due to an improved operating model, more so than the ‘macro’ backdrop. Like CA, Micro Focus will continue to sharpen its operational model, continue with drop-in M&A; and will remain focused on delivering shareholder returns and being the sector’s TSR leader. To be sure, Micro Focus plays in a messy space (after all..."

Cash cow, record profits, dividend increase, chance of resumption of special dividend. Footsie entry possible. Of course all my guess. What's not to like.

To be honest Monty it costs a lot getting into the FTSE 100 but does give added prestige. A special dividend would be nice but I would rather see some stabilization and a reduction in the debt

So Montybilge is frothing at the mouth again on the basis that when a company enters into the FTSE 100 its share price will increase because ¨tracker funds will have to buy¨.

Here are a few questions to exercise Montybilge´s admittedly small and fragile mind:

Prices only rise if there are more buyers than sellers. Why are you suggesting that there will be more buyers than sellers after Microfocus´s assumed entry into the FTSE 100?
How do you know this?
Can you illustrate your answer by reference to the performance of other shares that have entered the FTSE 100 in the last 5 years?
Are you sure that you have included all entrants in your answer?

Has soon as they Wizard sell, I expect a 5% jump in the shareprice on the news.

Of course not, figures should be good in July, with a special dividend return.I can't wait for entry into FTSE 100, tracker funds have to buy.We are about 109 in the league, so not that away.

To be honest I can't see this returning to the 14s again let alone the 13s even if Wizard dump a tranche

So montybilge now you have got me off filter read and answer this question: in what way is it relevant that there is currently one software company in the FTSE 100? And then try and answer this connundrum: what does paying a special dividend do to a company´s market cap? Careful before you answer.

Guys this may sound silly, with the rest of the market falling, with our market cap we are about 109 in the league. Is it possible we could get in FTSE 100 in the June shake out of the FTSE 100. Only one other software company Sage Group in the FTSE 100I always said 2017. But could it be sooner? Any thoughts.

Of course they borrow money to pay a special dividend, it's what they have done for the last 3 years. £1.2 billion debt, is easily serviceable from this cash cow.
